Yes, we have a block of rooms at The Inn at Bay Harbor. Please see our "Travel" page for more info on how to book.
Hotel Rooms are filling up fast, however if you are having issues booking, please contact us via text or email, and we will see if we can get additional rooms. Please remember most hotels require a 2 night minimum (and we'd love to have you stay Friday and Saturday nights).
The ceremony is at St. Francis Xavier in Petoskey (513 Howard St, Petoskey, MI 49770). It is about a ten minute drive from The Inn at Bay Harbor. The ceremony will begin at 2:00pm sharp, so we recommend getting there no later than 1:45pm.
Not easily. Sorry. There are a few different ways. For those flying, you can fly into Detroit, and Bay Harbor/Petoskey is approximately a 4.5 hour drive. You can also fly into Traverse City, which is much easier (and can be much more expensive) and the drive is approximately 1 hour. For those driving from the Cleveland/Akron area, this is approximately a 7 hour drive. Take a peek at our "Travel" page for more info.
Yes, parking will be available at both the hotel, reception and church. For the ceremony, please utilize the parking lot on the school playground behind the church (entering from Michigan St. unto the playground). There is a parking lot directly across from the reception site (Bay Harbor Yacht Club) if you choose to drive.
Welcome to my life, 97% of most menus at restaurants don't work for Aubrey, so she has been reduced to ordering sides of vegetables while Brad orders $100 steaks. It is an unfair lot in life. Being serious, we totally understand. The RSVP card on the invitation will be very clear, please simply indicate what your restriction is, and we will be happy to take care of it for you.
Look good, we are not farmers. :) Welcome Party: Cocktail Attire Wedding Day: Black Tie Optional
There are a multitude of things to do in the area including golfing, biking, hiking, fishing, boating, wine tasting, and general tourist and sightseeing activities. You are approximately 1 hour from Traverse City, and near a number of other quintessential “up North” towns. If you want specific recommendations, just ask and we'll be happy to suggest a few things.
Due to Brad waiting until he is nearly 60 to get married, there will be a limited supply of single people, but we have structured the guest list to include potential candidates for single guests.
Your invite will specify this by including a "and guest."
Your invite will specify this, by indicating "and family". Due to the nature of a number of events we are having, most invitations for children were reserved for immediate family.
In theory, the weather should be great. Average temperatures are in the mid-60s, and Northern Michigan in the fall is absolutely stunning. With that being said, we have all seen 90 degrees in late September, and also seen snow in late September, so be prepared for everything! And please pray for a sunny day :)
The ceremony will be indoors as Brad does not want his hair to get messed up. The reception will be mainly indoors, however there is a beautiful terrace that overlooks Lake Michigan where the cocktail hour will be held, and will be open all night.
One of the reasons we wanted a destination wedding was to avoid the awkward period between the end of the Ceremony and the Reception beginning. In theory, the majority of people will have a hotel room they can return to in order to freshen up if they chose to. Or there are a number of cafes/bars in the surrounding area and on the hotel property you can take advantage of during the waiting period for the reception to begin. Don't nap... rookie mistake.
We insist you do. In fact I’m presently #hashtaggingtheseFAQs As you all know, we love social media, just please ensure you hashtag our wedding hashtags - #pavlikpalooza #braubrey ABrewsaysIdo #superPtakesaknee
