I was made for sunny days, and I was made for you

Aubrey tasked me with the summary and writing of "our story" because in her words, "I have not done anything else," which is more than likely fairly accurate, or perhaps 100% accurate. This was a task that I anticipated not taking extensive time, but as I sat down with pen to paper and began jotting down the last three years, it became an endless ramble with a complete lack of flow or understanding. I wrote how we had met at work, how we had operated massive music festivals together, how we had traveled various parts of the world together, dined with celebrities, attended the NBA Championship, almost witnessed Michigan beat Ohio State in the Big House, went on tour with our favorite band, got engaged in front of hundreds of people, and how we had started our own business that quickly turned into a successful venture which we are very proud of (and now own 3 different companies together). I mentioned how my friends and family all love Aubrey, and insisted if I didn't marry her they would officially "be done with me." :) I wrote about Aubrey's beauty inside and out, her kindness to everyone, her forgiveness to those that are not worthy of it, and my bewilderment at her ability to continually deal with my sometimes (or perhaps more than sometimes) selfish and vain behavior. I talked about how perhaps finding your soulmate is not just about love, but is about finding the person that makes you the best version of yourself. But as I read and reread what I had written, it still did not capture the message I was attempting to convey, so I turned to the place I do most when I am looking for inspiration, and that is to literature, more so to my favorite author, F.
