Brad and I both had friends who were trying to get the two of us together. My friend kept telling me about this really nice, single guy that she knew through her fiance. I told her I wasn't looking for a relationship because I was too busy with life at the time. At the same time, Brad's friend Tyler was telling Brad that I was single and he should try talking to me. After a few tries, I finally agreed to meet Brad and see what all the fuss was about. Before we knew it, we were head over heels for each other. Being together was so easy from the beginning, we couldn't get enough of each other. I had never been so spoiled in my life. It didn't take long before Brad started telling me "I'm going to marry you one of these days"... and now here we are.

It was December 31st, 2018, New Year's Eve. Brad and I decided to go spend the evening with our closest buddies, the Day family. Brad and I were not only excited to spend our first New Year's together, but also to be able to spend it with Brad (Day), Kimber, and their kiddos. In the middle of an excruciatingly long game of gin rummy, we stopped to enjoy the final minutes of 2018 and get ready to watch the ball drop. Brad was acting very strange, he wasn't even sitting on the same couch as me, and there were like maybe 8 seconds until the ball dropped. I yelled at him "get over here so I can kiss you dummy!" He came over and I sat on his lap. Three, two, one... we kissed as the ball dropped. Before I knew it, Brad was pushing me off of his lap and getting down on one knee. He said something along the lines of "well babe, it's a new year, how about we start a new life together, will you marry me?" I barely squealed out a yes before I was jumping on him and screaming. We were both so excited, and we are even more excited to go from "engaged" to "married" on September 28th. See you all there!
