A strip of historic Austin homes that have been transformed into a lively street of bars and restaurants.
Town Lake Trail
Lady Bird Lake runs right through the city and the trail is great for walking, running, biking, or taking a hop into a kayak or paddleboard right in the lake!
Polvo's Downtown
Our favorite Mexican food in the city! Also another location on South 1st street in our neighborhood. Get the fajitas and a frozen marg!
South Congress Avenue
South Congress is our favorite place to hang out - check out Perla's for oysters and bubbles on a patio, Jo's coffee for the Iced Turbo and photo in front of the "I love you so much mural", Guero's for Mexican food, June's for a casual dining experience, and C Boys for a dive bar!
Eat Tacos!
Our favorites are Taco Deli, Veracruz, Cisco's and Juan in a Million. Tacos are a must in Austin!
Watch the Congress Avenue Bats at Sunset
At dusk tons of bats flock from underneath the South Congress bridge and it is crazy to see! Stand on the bridge just south of Cesar Chavez (groups of people will be there).
Cruise around Lady Bird Lake
One of the best ways to check out Austin is from the water - you can rent a Kayak, Canoe or Paddleboard and cruise up and down the lake viewing the skyline.
Austin Central Library
A brand new addition to our amazing city, right in the heart of Downtown, complete with a rooftop deck.
Barton Springs Pool
This is always at a cool 68 degrees from naturally fed spring water. Take a dip!
