FAQs

The Wedding Website of Chris Brablc and Emily Burns
Here are questions we have heard from friends and family as well as some unsolicited recommendations and questions we think are important.
Question

When Should I Arrive for the Wedding?

Answer

We'd love for people to show up during the afternoon on Friday! We know that it will not be possible for everyone to join us early so please come whenever is convenient for you - whether it's Friday afternoon, Friday evening, or Saturday's main event we are happy to have you join us. We will be playing lawn games and hanging out starting at 1 PM Friday for any guest that can show up then. We also are having a BBQ on Friday at 6 PM for any guests who are planning on arriving the night before the wedding. All guests are invited.

Question

Will there be vegetarian options at the wedding?

Answer

Yes. We will be offering this for the cookout and wedding dinner. Send us a quick note if you have any dietary restrictions we may not know about.

Question

Will there be multiple locations for the wedding events?

Answer

No. All events will be happening at Dexter's Inn in Sunapee, NH. The Friday festivities, wedding ceremony & reception, and even the after party will happen on-site at the venue and are very close to one another.

Question

Should I book a room at Dexter's Inn?

Answer

No. This will be reserved for family and the wedding party. If you don't receive an invite to stay on site, unfortunately we do not have space for you and we'd ask you to book one of our other accommodation options (see "Travel" tab on this site).

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes. There will be parking at the venue available all weekend.

Question

I'm flying in. Can I get a ride up and back to Dexter's area?

Answer

While we understand some will want a rental car for their own use to the event we will be putting folks in touch with friends that will have seats in their car to come up to the wedding. If you are interested in being included in this group, reach out to us directly and we'll ensure you are included.

Question

Will I like Emily and Chris's friends and family?

Answer

We think so. We like people that are friendly for the most part. And while some may seem weird to start (you might know who we're talking about), they are actually pretty cool. We encourage you to say hi, meet other people and engage in some friendly competition!

Question

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

Yes, for the cookout on Friday. We will be supplying Beer, Hard Cider, Hard Seltzer and non-alcoholic beverages on Friday but we're happy to have you bring whatever you would like. For Saturday, we are providing a full open bar and all alcohol will need to be served by our bartenders.

Question

Should I bring dancing shoes?

Answer

Yes! We have a live band from 7-11 and expect to be on the dance floor for most of it! We hope you will be too!

Question

When Will Food be Provided?

Answer

We are providing food during the following times: - Friday BBQ Cookout at 6 PM (lunch will not be provided that day) - Saturday Cocktail Hour (hors d'oeuvres will be served) - Saturday Dinner (buffet style food will be served) There might be a few desserts served on both days and we'll also have a variety of snacks and drinks available all weekend so if you're like Emily and need food every 45 minutes no need to worry.

Question

Is Emily a Bridezilla?

Answer

While it's still early to tell, she has definitely kept us on task during the wedding planning process. So while I'd say she is persistently organized, she is not a menace...yet.

Question

What Clothing Should I bring?

Answer

For Friday, definitely bring shorts and summer clothes. This won't be a formal event and it will most likely get hot. There's even a swimming pool so if you want to take a dip bring a swimsuit and towel. I'd also recommend some athletic shoes if you plan on playing pickleball. For Saturday, we are keeping it Semi-Formal. Think suits and dresses. Feel free to go extra fancy if that's your thing.

Question

Did Emily know Chris was going to propose?

Answer

Nope. She was woefully naive. Here's the video (visual only): https://photos.app.goo.gl/RJWNppgH3A8gXbRw6

Question

What do I need to RSVP for?

Answer

We ask you to RSVP for: 1.) The Friday BBQ (so we know how much food to buy) 2.) The Saturday Wedding (so we know how many people to plan for) All guests are invited to both events.

Question

I have a little bundle of fun, are they invited too?

Answer

Your kids are welcome to all events. That said, we think you'll have a lot of fun being kid-less for at least some of the weekend :) Please also leave your furry friends at home or at your accommodations.

Question

Should I bring a Pickleball paddle or other sports equipment?

Answer

Yes. If you own a pickleball paddle please bring it. If you don't own one and still want to play, we'll have extras the day of. Also feel free to bring any other lawn games you want to play!

Question

Where Can I Add and Access Photos from the Wedding?

Answer

Good Question. We know many of the best photos are candids people take on their phones. We have set up a Google Photos album that anyone can share photos to or view photos added to it. You can get access here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/EF17MA1kozKKpxbf6 Careful not to delete anything! We will also be making some of our official wedding photographs by our hired photographer available after the event.

Question

I want a photo with the bride and groom. When should I get one?

Answer

During cocktail hour is by far the best time since we'll be enjoying the games and dancing at other times, but you can always ask us to snag one!

Question

Is there an after party?

Answer

Only cool kids get invited to the after party. So yes, everyone is invited to check out the game room at Dexter's Inn after the reception!

Question

Will we have transportation from the venue to hotels after the reception?

Answer

Unfortunately no. Please plan to have a designated driver to help bring you to your accommodation after the event. If you need one, we might have the Newcastle Shuttle running (aka a very kind friend shuttling people).

Question

Will any couple beat Chris & Emily in Pickleball?

Answer

We doubt it. With our skill and the fact that losing will most likely create a rift in our relationship that could end our nuptials, we doubt anyone beats us :)

Question

Did Chris (and to a lesser degree Emily) have too much fun making this site?

Answer

Yes. Yes they did.
