YES (well...maybe and kind of)! Currently US passport holders do not require a passport to travel to Europe, but in early 2024 they will be starting a new program called the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS). It's not yet confirmed exactly when they will start requiring this, but please keep it on your radar. It will require an online application and 7 Euro fee, with a response via email.
We are very excited to celebrate our wedding with people we love in the beautiful, intimate setting the castle provides! In order to ensure we can spend quality time with our guests, and stay within the capacity limits of our venue, we are unable to accommodate plus ones.
We suggest you access Dromoland Castle Hotel's website to review room types available and submit your booking for days before or after April 10. Please then reach out to the reservations team to let them know you are already booked for April 10 and to attach this to your booking plus add whatever other days you require! It's best to give them a call as email has been a bit difficult to properly convey.
You can email the reservations team at any time to request reservations or inquire about availability! Please see your reservation email for contact info. Note that breakfast is included and does not require reservation.
Yes! All reservations are default set to be Queen Anne room types unless Petra has told you otherwise. Rooms can be upgraded for a fee (ex: +400 for Deluxe room type) and the reservations team will be happy to coordinate this with you!
We are very fortunate to host our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all within the castle grounds! All locations are within a few minutes walk, and golf carts are offered for any who prefer to ride between events.
Please arrive at least ten minutes early to be seated.
