For the history buff: Located in the heart of Southampton village, the Southampton History Museum is dedicated to the town's history and culture. The museum's resources currently feature more than 8,000 volumes, photos, maps and more on a wide range of subjects from account books to family memorabilia. For the wine lover: Some of the country’s best vineyards and wineries can be found in the Hamptons. Duck Walk Vineyards in nearby Water Mill, Wolffer Estate Vineyard and Channing Daughters Winery, both in Bridgehampton, are three solid bets on the South Fork. Or one can travel across the bays to check out wineries on the North Fork of Long Island.
