How do I get to Southampton?

Answer

*Full driving instructions are at the end. Option 1: Fly into JFK, LaGuardia, Newark or Long Island McArthur. Hop in a car, and take the Long Island Expressway east to Southampton (Exit 70 to Manorville then follow signs to NY-27 East towards Montauk). Option 2: Take the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) from Manhattan's Penn Station (31st St between 7th and 8th Aves) to Southampton via the Montauk branch (2 hour, 15 minute trip). Option 3: Take the Hampton Jitney, Hamptons Ambassador or Hamptons Luxury Liner buses. Multiple pick up spots from East 86th St down to midtown Manhattan. It's a 2 - 2 1/2 hour trip to Southampton. After exiting, make a right on Route 111 and drive ~5 miles until you reach NY-27. Drive east along NY-27 (~15 miles), turn right on Tuckahoe Lane, left on Hill Street and continue straight towards Southampton Inn, village, and beaches.

What is the wedding dress code?

Answer

Garden Formal Women: Cocktail dress or a formal gown. Men: Formal suit (tie preferred, not mandatory).

Are the events being held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors. The reception (drinks, dinner and dancing) will take place under a covered tent in front of the residence. (For those wondering, you'll be walking on a hard surface.) Consider bringing a sweater for the festivities, as the temperature can drop at night.

When should I book travel and lodging?

Answer

Immediately! This is a Hamptons wedding taking place the weekend after Labor Day, which is still a busy time of year so please book flights and lodging as soon as possible. Click on the Accommodations tab to more info.

Will there be transportation to and from the wedding location?

Answer

Yes. There are two shuttle buses departing Southampton Inn for Meadow Lane at 4:45 p.m. One of the shuttles will run back and forth every 20 minutes until 1 a.m. (when the afterparty concludes). There will also be on-site valet services available. If you decide to go this route, please be careful!
