Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

-Listen y'all. You guys know we love you and our lil nieces and nephews. But there will be a bus for transport with limited seats, a late night bonfire, and if you know us: lots of alcohol. If you decide to bring the kiddos, we ask that you don't bring them to the wedding ceremony or reception. But to make it easier, try booking a room at the hotel where the reception is. There is a pool, and you will be able to check on them throughout the night. There are also tons of family-friendly activities to do in town, and the hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the beachfront. It is going to be all us adults drinking and we want everyone to have fun and be safe without trampling over the little ones. With most of our guests being military, the party will be hardy. And there are adult surprises in store.

Question

What to wear?

Answer

-This is not black tie, but dress nicely and consider what you want to wear on a beach. -We just want you all to dress "nicely." -Guys: think nice pants and a button up shirt/collared shirt/etc, no formal jacket required. -Gals: you know how to dress for a wedding. Just keep in mind yall will be sitting on blankets on the beach for the ceremony! -WE WILL BE ON THE BEACH FOR THE CEREMONY, and again in the evening after the reception for the beach bonfire. I keep saying that because it could be wet/windy/cold. -Nice shoes and heels will be a bitch. Feel free to brings flops/thongs or whatever you want for beach time: yes even during the ceremony. The photographer wont be snapping photos of those tootsies. But if she does, tell her we want a cut of the profit!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

-The Oregon coast will approximately 50F (10C) degrees in January. Dress accordingly to what that weather means for your body. -We will be outside and on a beach for the ceremony. In Oregon it rains ALOT, so please bring an umbrella or prepared to be wet! -There is also a chance for "King Tides" the weekend of the wedding. If you aren't familiar with that term, it just means that the waves come further up onto beaches than on a regular day. It is nothing to be scared of, it is a natural occurrence that happens throughout the year. It's not a "tidal wave" or anything. Just high water levels.

Question

What are the colors and the theme?

Question

What food/drinks should I expect?

Answer

-It will be a catered buffet style food, so a bit of everything. There will be options, but if you have a serious food allergy, just text us and let us know. We will be sure to try and have something there you can eat. -ALCOHOL WILL BE FREE. at least for the first 2 hours before everyone gets blotto (aka "trashed" for our American friends) LOL.
