We're getting married!

Most of you know that we met in the United States military 7 years ago, well here is our story: This love story began in the unlikeliest of places; Fort Sam Houston, Texas during military training in 2018. With Boxxy coming from New South Wales, Australia and Albers coming from Illinois, USA; being in the same place at the same time for their paths to cross felt like an act of fate! Their early relationship was shaped by the rigors of military life and the challenge of long-distance separation, but that bond only grew stronger. After completing training, they reunited to embark on a journey together, which would be the turning point in their relationship: driving the legendary Alaskan-Canadian Highway down to Washington State (a stretch of road as wild and beautiful as this unfolding love story). Over the 2,000 miles (3,200 km), they found a deep connection with one another that led to traveling to see each other every month over 3 years despite living across the country from one another. During Boxxy's military deployment overseas in 2021, they remained each other’s unwavering support system, proving that resilience and love could overcome any distance. Reunited once more, they pursued nursing school together, transforming their shared values into a shared experience. From working as Army medics, to working on an Ambulance, then in the hospital side by side, they continued to build their life together. Their journey, marked by both adventure and purpose, led them across the oceans to Ireland in 2022, where atop the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher, Boxxy knelt down and asked Albers to marry him. In that moment, framed by crashing waves and wind-swept cliffs, the years of service, sacrifice, and shared dreams came full circle, sealing a love that began in uniform and grew into a lifelong partnership. They continue to travel the world together and now look forward to celebrating their unification with those closest to them.
