Traveling to Aspen

We’re so excited to celebrate with you! We highly recommend booking your travel and stay as soon as possible to ensure you have a place to stay and can fully enjoy the festivities with us. Below you will find our recommended hotels and airports.

Flight

ASPEN/PITKIN COUNTY AIRPORT (ASE)

Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is the easiest way to get to the Aspen area, only 10 minutes from downtown Aspen and 15 minutes from Snowmass. Nearly all hotels provide complimentary shuttles to and from the airport. Alternatively, we recommend pre-arranging ground transportation by taxi or a car service (High Mountain Taxi, at 970.925.8294, is an easy go to). The rental car companies are all located at the airport as well, if you decide to go that route.

Rental Car

Driving From Denver

Driving through Colorado in the summertime is beautiful. If you choose to fly into Denver (DIA) and rent a car, you can expect the drive to take approximately 4 hours. You can get to Aspen via the I-70 through Glenwood Springs or by taking the scenic Independence Pass. Independence Pass is a gorgeous drive if you have the time, but please check the weather!

PROPERTY RENTALS

Frias Properties, AirBnB and VRBO offer numerous listings in the heart of town and in the nearby the Aspen area at various price points that can accommodate different group sizes. Please keep in mind that Uber and Lyft services are limited in the surrounding area. If you are booking a stay that is not close to town, we strongly recommend renting a car for transportation or scheduling a car service.

Travel Note

Aspen Bus System

Regular free, public bus service runs throughout the Aspen Valley from Snowmass to the heart of Aspen. We love this bus system and use it regularly to get to restaurants, hikes, and other adventures that are in different parts of town. If you fly directly into Aspen, you can use the bus system to get around!

Travel Note

Altitude Sickness (Please Read)

We are so very excited to celebrate with you in one of our favorite places ever! You'll be staying at an elevation above 8,000 ft. while in Aspen. Here are a few recommendations to help acclimate to the higher elevation so you may enjoy the entire wedding weekend of activities! * Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Begin drinking lots of water (2-3) days prior to your arrival in Colorado and continuously throughout your stay * If your schedule and budget allow, plan to arrive (1-2) days prior to the big day to allow your body to adjust gradually to the substantial increase in altitude * Alcohol will affect you faster than normal. (1) drink = (3) drinks. Your body will process alcohol faster than at home We highly encourage you to review the link provided below for additional tips & tricks to altitude acclimation!
