Where is it?

Answer

We are holding the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at the Lake Nona Wave Hotel, just off 417 in Orlando, FL. The hotel is located about a 15 minute drive from the Orlando International Airport (MCO), 30 minutes from Walt Disney World, or 30 minutes from Universal Orlando.

Can I take photos?

Answer

During the ceremony, we ask that all phones, cameras, and any other photo-taking devices be kept away. We have hired a professional (her name is Hannah, and we LOVE her!) to take high-quality photos so you can be present, enjoying the moment with your own eyes and not through the lens of a camera. Please be respectful of us and our photography team during this brief portion of our day. If you’re not respectful and you decide to have your phone out, we have people that have been given permission to embarrass you. You’ve been warned. :-) During cocktail hour and reception, however, you can take as many photos as you want!

What am I supposed to wear?

Answer

Clothes, preferably! Jokes aside, wear whatever makes you comfortable. We’d like for you to dress a bit nicer (cocktail attire-ish) so you look great in our wedding photos. But really, all we care about is that you are present for us on the most important day of our relationship. Definitely bring comfortable shoes so you can dance the night away!

What’s the menu, and will you be able to accommodate my dietary needs?

Answer

A plated dinner will be served, and we need to get your choice for your entree. Everyone over the age of 10 will have a choice of either: Pan-Seared Branzino (a delicious white fish!) OR Red Wine Braised Beef Short Rib Both will come with a side of wild rice and baby carrots. Don’t worry if you told us you’re a vegetarian - we have a special vegetarian dish just for you! All guests under the age of 10 will be provided with a kid-friendly entree. If you are either a vegetarian or are 10 or under, please select the option that says so from the entree selection drop-down menu. If you previously told us of an allergy, thank you! All you need to do is select your choice of entree, and our catering team will make sure your food is safe for you to enjoy. Please update your RSVP’s to include your entree choices before Easter on April 5. If you do not make a selection, one will be made for you, meaning your dinner will be a surprise!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Thanks to our partnership with our venue, the Lake Nona Wave Hotel, our guests may book discounted rooms so you can conveniently stay onsite. Simply go to our “Travel” page for additional details as well as the booking link with our discount code already applied. If you’re seeking a more budget-conscious option, there is a Residence Inn as well as a Courtyard Marriott within walking distance of the venue. There are a number of other alternatives in the Lake Nona area, but the ones listed here and on our “Travel” page are the ones we highly suggest. If you are looking to stay a bit longer with intentions to visit to the Orlando attractions, there are lots of great hotel options near the Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort.

What time should I leave my hotel?

Answer

There are many hotels in the Orlando area, so this answer depends heavily on where you decide to stay! If you are near the Universal Orlando Resort or Walt Disney World, plan to leave at least an hour to arrive on time, as traffic can be heavy starting at about 3pm in the direction of the hotel. We suggest checking Waze for the best time to leave from your hotel. Google Maps also provides walking directions if you’re staying within walking distance of our venue.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Lake Nona Wave Hotel provides complimentary day parking in a parking garage across the street from the venue. Valet parking is also available for a fee.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If a plus one has been included on your RSVP, yes. We’ve crafted our guest list with intentionality to include as many of our loved ones as possible.

Can I bring my kid(s)?

Answer

We have invited children, yes. However, if you prefer to have a parents’ night out, we HIGHLY encourage you to do so. We’ve hired exceptional entertainment, so this party will be going strong well-past bedtime, and we don’t want you to miss any of the fun!

Will there be time to hang out with the Bride & Groom?

Answer

That’s completely up to you! At the reception, we anticipate that we’ll limit the amount of time we spend going around to greet each person at each table because we also want to enjoy the party we’ve worked so hard to plan. We wanna dance with everybody who comes through those ballroom doors! Amy (and probably also Greg) will be taking a whole week off from work after the wedding so we can spend time with our loved ones who have traveled far to be present for us. We look forward to being available for going to theme parks, exploring the amazing local Orlando food scene, getting matching tattoos (just Amy), or whatever exciting plans you may have in the Central Florida area.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

For our out of town guests, we will be hosting an informal welcome reception. When: April 18th, 2026, from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM Where: The Courtyard Marriott Lake Nona. Please join us for some light refreshments and have a Meet + Greet with the Bride + Groom before you check in at your hotel. Guests who have been invited will receive more details and a prompt to RSVP via email.

I don't see a registry. Are you registered for gifts anywhere?

Answer

No, we are not creating a wedding registry. We ask that no gifts are given, instead please make a donation in our names to one of our favorite charities or contribute to our honeymoon fund!

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our age-appropriate guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the majority of the event.
