Emily met Ryanne through Ethan, and Rye quickly became one of her closest friends. Rye is Emily’s ren faire and buhurt buddy, traveling most weekends in the summer together to various armored combat events! Rye has been Emily’s biggest helper during wedding planning, basically doing the job of an unpaid wedding planner. But that sums up Rye: kind, insanely generous, and forever loyal.
Kylie

Together, Kylie and Emily were in the trenches of beginning motherhood as well as daycare work for years, and now borderline have a trauma bond. Friends going on 11 years now, Emily is thrilled to have such a kind and supportive friend by her side on her happiest day.
Justine
Bridesmaid
Justine and Emily met through party princess work and vibed so hard, they became work wives and co-owners of Capes & Crowns. Justine and her husband David have been some of Emily’s best and most loyal friends for years. They will also be new parents to a 2 month old at the wedding!
Ann

Emily’s brother did an amazing job at picking a stellar wife, with the unintended consequence of having Emily becoming overly attached to her. Ann is Emily’s sister-in-law and one of her best friends. She is also an incredible mother to Emily and Ethan’s adorable nephews.
Kori
Bridesmaid
Kori and Emily’s eldest children became besties in kindergarten, and Emily and Kori quickly overshadowed their friendship with their own. They bonded quickly over their love of books, Blue Moon, and antiques. As well as their hoarder tendencies. Kori is one of Emily’s most hilarious and fun friends. The wedding wouldn’t be a party without her!
Chloe

Chloe is Ethan’s youngest sister and one of the biggest girl’s girl you’ll ever meet. She is wicked clever, deeply loving, and exactly what Emily always wanted in a baby sister. The perfect “fun aunt”, Chloe quickly carved out a big spot in Emily, Skye, Charlie, and Slade’s hearts.
Maddy
Bridesmaid
Maddy is Ethan’s younger sister, and Chloe’s big sister. Maddy immediately made Emily feel welcome in their family, and is the sister Emily never had (but now does!!!). She is creative, good at everything she tries, and has the biggest heart. She is a family person through and through, always making sure to bring everyone together for holidays and special occasions. She is a dedicated and devoted sister, niece, partner, and aunt.
William
Best Man
Ethan and William met through their shared love of Buhurt and quickly became great friends. William's consistent kindness and inclusiveness is inspiring to his many friends and the fighters he coaches. William is the type of friend that notices when his friends need back up and always comes through.
Kyle
Groomsman
Ethan and Kyle first met by fighting each other. They both started buhurt clubs at the same time and haven't stopped talking since. Kyle has been a brother through many set backs and surgeries. He's helped carry Ethan to an ambulance multiple times. You couldn't ask for a more reliable friend.
Spenser
Groomsman
Spenser has always been a devoted brother to Emily. Growing up, he was her biggest advocate and cheerleader; so kind and gentle with her, that kids doubted that he was actually her big brother. Now he has abandoned her for Ethan. Fair enough… they are both nerds at heart, loving board games, and any other game that makes you work your brain (the kind Emily hates the most). Spenser is wildly smart, funny, and is a wonderful father, husband, son, uncle, and brother.
Shane
Groomsman
Ethan and Shane met as kids in the same home school group. Their shared interest in Lord of the Rings and thousands of other nerdy things quickly made them great friends. Shane has been a kind and forgiving "friend" through Ethan's life. They've never actually agreed on being "friends" though. Maybe another decade or so and that will change.
Mercer

Ethan and Mercer also also met by fighting each other. Mercer is the little brother Ethan always wished he'd had. Mercer has a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off your back. He's becoming an amazing coach and leader. Also ATTENTION LADIES! Mercer is single and ready to mingle!
Gavin (Tweedie)

Ethan and Tweedie also met by fighting each other. Tweedie is the most loyal and thoughtful friend you could ask for. He's also the toughest and strongest and the best of buhurt fighters. He's an absolute legend and his devotion to his girlfriend and how fiercely he advocates for his friends is inspirational.
Devan
Groomsman
Ethan and Devan met when Ethan was born! Devan is Ethan's older brother by two years. Anything Devan did Ethan always had to do too. From videos games to Football Ethan always wanted to do whatever his older brother did. Devan has patiently answered hundreds of thousands of Ethan's question. Devan has always been an amazing big brother for Ethan.
Charlie
Flower Girl
Charlie is Emily’s 10 year old daughter and Ethan’s soon to be official step-daughter! Charlie is naturally hilarious, as well as incredibly kind, fun, and creative. Charlie is the biggest ray of sunshine you will ever meet, and is going to perform the most spectacular throwing of petals on an aisle you will ever see. Meet her on the dance floor at the reception: she is also a fantastic dancer and absolute vibe.
Slade
Ring Bearer
Slade is Emily’s 5 year old son and Ethan in mini form. Like his soon to be step-dad, Slade loves to swing a sword or axe, wrestle, and snuggle Emily. Slade has the best energy, always down for some fun and a good snack. He is going to be the best “ring bear” you ever saw, and will also likely be eating 4 adult helpings of cake at the reception.
Jeff
Father of the Bride
Emily is basically just a younger, female version of her dad, Jeff. He is where she got her love of books and all things fantasy. She is where he got his love of ren faires. As I’m sure you can guess, Emily is a classic spoiled daddy’s girl. The biggest thing they have in common is how hard they are going to cry during their father-daughter dance.
Skye
Mother of the Bride
Emily may be biased, but objectively, Skye is one of the best humans you will ever meet. If you look up “generous” in the dictionary, there Skye is. She is the most involved and devoted grandma and mother. With her, you can bet there will never be a day that goes by that Ethan and Emily won’t feel like they have someone in their corner, ready to help with anything at a moments notice. She is also super smart, naturally funny, and gorgeous.
Dale
Father of the Groom
Dale is Ethan's dad and role model. Ever since Ethan could hold a hammer he had help with whatever project dad was working on. Not much has changed since then. They still work together in the family accounting business. Now Ethan can finally say he's like his dad in the most important way now that he has a family to take care of just like his dad.
Marlon
Officiant
Ethan even met his officiant by fighting him. Marlon was one of the original crew along with William and Kyle who helped get our buhurt club started. Marlon's generosity and dedication to his family is what we should all strive for. If they could Ethan and Marlon could stay up all night smoking pipes and gossiping together.
