OUR STORY

Andrew and Faith first connected in May of 2020 on a dating app, despite living just blocks apart in the Upper East Side. After a bit of flirty banter back and forth, Andrew asked Faith out. The two met on the pedestrian street between their apartments and got to know each other from opposite ends of a park bench. Faith was immediately impressed by Andrew’s inherent charm and preparedness (he brought a cooler with an array of seltzers to choose from, koozies, solo cups – pretty advanced stuff for a first time CDC compliant date during a one-in-a-lifetime global pandemic). Andrew was struck by Faith’s quick wit, infectious laugh, otherworldly looks, etc. There was an immediate spark. Hours later, throwing any sense of self-preservation out the window, they embraced in a parting hug. Amidst all of the chaos and uncertainty of the pandemic, they found peace in each other. The years following were marked by beautiful memories over shared laughs, new vinyls, old recipes, concerts, bottles of wine, park naps, amazing meals, and everything in between. Their relationship took them to new (and old) cities around the world and introduced them to a universe of the most incredible friends and family. They grew together – pushing each towards the other’s potential and carrying each other through loss. And, bit by bit, they built a life together. Last May, Andrew suggested they go to brunch on the west side in celebration of one of Faith’s recent (many) work triumphs. Thrilled by the idea of a brunch date with Andrew and stressed by his unseasonably formal outfit choice of a long sleeve button down, Faith decided to rearrange her closet in search of a proper brunch outfit. This didn’t bother Andrew at all! He wasn’t hiding a diamond in the closet! Business as usual! They finally set off on their journey, only the tiniest bit late due to the closet reorg. It was a gorgeous day. The sun was shining, there was a slight breeze, the people of New York were buzzing – absolute musical weather. Then, in the middle of Central Park right past the pond with all the model sailboats, Andrew got down on one knee and asked Faith to marry him. She enthusiastically accepted. We cannot wait to officially say “I do” in November, alongside our friends and family. We hope that you can make it so that we can raise a toast in celebration of lovers in love and all that’s to come!

For all the days along the way
