Things To Do

We're big foodies, hikers and window shoppers, and we're so excited to share a few of our favorite places with you!
New York City

New York City

New York, NY

Take the Metro North into the city - walk around Central Park, explore the Museum of Modern Art, or sit down in a speakeasy. There's one right in Grand Central called The Campbell Apartment that we love!

Rockefeller State Park

Rockefeller State Park

Tower Hill Road, Pleasantville, NY 10570

If you're interested in getting outside for a hike, look no further than Rockefeller State Park! We love hiking here with Otis. Who knows, you might even run into Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Pleasantville Farmers Market

Pleasantville Farmers Market

10 Memorial Plaza, Pleasantville, NY 10570

Pleasantville Farmer's Market, which takes place every Saturday until about 2:00PM, is one of the best in Westchester County. Check it out for some great treats, then take some time to walk around Pleasantville - true to its name, it is quite pleasant.

Our Favorite Downtowns

Our Favorite Downtowns

NY

Rye and Tarrytown are two of our favorite downtowns if you're looking to get out and explore the area. Both are filled with beautiful views, delicious eats and fun window shopping.

Casa D'italia

Casa D'italia

265 Halstead Avenue, Harrison, NY 10528
, (914) 835-6370

Hungry? Find the best sandwiches at Casa D'italia Sandwich Shoppe! Bryan recommends the Bronx Tale, but you really can't go wrong.

Terrain

Terrain

561 Post Road East, Westport, CT 06880

Though it is a hike from where you'll be staying in Westchester County, Terrain is a great way to spend a day. Start at Terrain Cafe for *literally* the best french toast in your life, then browse their giant warehouse. If you want to keep shopping, Westport downtown is only a few minutes away.

Turkey Mountain

Turkey Mountain

Yorktown Heights, NY 10598

We went here on our first date, so Turkey Mountain holds a special place in our hearts. It's a relatively quick hike with exceptional views at the top, but be warned - it's steep!

Storm King Art Center

Storm King Art Center

1 Museum Road, New Windsor, NY 12553
, (845) 534-3115

Advanced tickets are required, but they're worth it. Storm King is an amazing outdoor sculpture garden - and an incredible way to spend a beautiful summer day.

Shawangunk Mountains

Shawangunk Mountains

NY 12525

This list wouldn't be complete without the Shawangunk Mountains. The Gunks, as they are locally known, are where we got engaged - and it's a very special place for both of us. It'll be hard to make the trip here while you're in town, unless you build in an extra day. Trust that it would be worthwhile!

For all the days along the way
