Frequently Asked Questions

Before reaching out to us with questions, please review our list of frequently asked questions.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 15, 2023. If you have any food allergies or restrictions that we should accommodate, please let us know by June 1, 2023.

Question

Do I have to be vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19?

Answer

While we would prefer that all guests are vaccinated and boosted, we are not requiring it. Instead, we ask that everyone takes a PCR or home test to ensure they are negative prior to attending our events to protect immuno-compromised family and friends. (It will also help us avoid spending our Italian honeymoon quarantined in a hotel room.) Your attention to this request and your honesty in responding appropriately to your COVID test results are greatly appreciated.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Cocktail or garden attire -- essentially, dressy casual. For women, this would mean a cocktail dress, fancier sundress or nice pants/fancy top/heels. For men, light colored slacks and a button down is perfect. Add a blazer if you're feeling spunky! We're here for it. The newlyweds and many immediate family members will be dressing up a bit more for the occasion (suits without ties, nice dresses), but we encourage you to wear what's comfortable for you. Although our celebrations are a little nontraditional, we would appreciate if you kindly refrain from wearing white.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you don't have an option for a plus one but would like one, please reach out to one of us directly before our RSVP deadline. We'll do our best to accommodate your request, but please understand that space is limited.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To ensure that we don't spend our night chasing our amazing nieces, nephews and little cousins, this will be an adults-only event. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Of course! Check out the "Travel" tab to view a list of hotels that we recommend in Stamford; all are within a few miles of Half Full Brewery, so you'll only be a short Uber away.

Question

What is the food situation going to be like for the Family & Friends Reception?

Answer

Starting around 6:00pm, we will have the Old World Pizza Truck on site to serve our guests an array of gourmet and traditional pizza, as well as a mesclun salad with caramelized walnuts, cranberries and feta cheese with homemade balsamic vinaigrette. At the end of the night, the Truck will serve cappuccino, espresso and various flavors of creamy French ice cream. The Truck is known for their array of gourmet pizzas - check out the menu from their brick and mortar location: https://www.one6threect.com/menu. One more thing - if you plan on taking advantage of the open bar, we kindly encourage you to have a small bite before you come.

Question

I have a food allergy; can I make a special request?

Answer

Please! Old World Pizza Truck can make accommodations for our guests who are gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian and lactose intolerant. They will also do their best to make a special pizza or salad for guests who have allergies to certain items. To ensure that they are aware of your needs and fully stocked to serve you, please reach out to us by June 1.

Question

What time should I arrive at the Family & Friends Reception?

Answer

The event is starting at 5:00pm. While many of us are often fashionably late, we would appreciate if you arrive on time so we can make the most of our night together.

Question

Where do I park for the Family & Friends Reception?

Answer

Half Full Brewery has a parking lot next to it that it shares with a nearby residential building. If that lot is full, you can choose to park at the Stamford Metro North train station's Maritime Lot or at the parking lot for the (now closed) Fairway off of Canal Street - both of which are around a five minute walk from the Brewery. Street parking is also a great option. Check out this map for more: http://bit.ly/HalfFull_Parking. If you are staying at a local hotel, we encourage you to leave your car there and take a short Uber over. Please do not drink and drive!

Question

Is there an after party?

Answer

Not formally - but we would love if you would stay after the party to continue the celebration with us! While there's no concrete plans, we'll likely grab another drink (or two) at Half Full Brewery before heading out to the Stamford bars. Make sure you bring your wallet and your dancing shoes!
