As much as we'd love to celebrate with your whole family, our wedding day will be an adults-only (21+) event with the exception of those little ones in our bridal party. We hope you understand and that this gives you a chance to turn the trip into a relaxing getaway! If you do choose to travel with children, they're welcome to join for the Welcome Event on Monday and/or the Thursday Brunch - at your discretion, as both events will be geared toward adults. We appreciate your understanding!
Thanks for checking! We've kept the invites fairly limited, but depending on final numbers, we may be able to accommodate a plus-one. Just let us know who you'd be thinking of bringing, and we'll do our best!
We'd love to see our family and friends dressed up for our big day! We are requesting "Garden Party Formal" attire. Our celebration will take place outdoors in the beautiful French countryside, so please dress with the setting (and the sun!) in mind. Cocktail dresses or dressy sundresses for women, suits or jackets for men. Ties not necessary. Light fabrics, florals, pastels, and grass-friendly shoes encouraged! We ask that you avoid wearing whites, ivories, creams, and black. But most of all, choose something you feel comfortable and cool in... we want you on the dance floor all night!
We’ve created a small registry for the bridal shower with a few items we would love for our home. For the wedding itself, celebrating together in France is truly a dream come true, and your presence is the greatest gift. If you still wish to give something, we kindly welcome monetary contributions as we plan for our future family.
Of course! When you receive your invitation in the mail, you’ll have the opportunity to let us know about any dietary restrictions or preferences. While it's traditional in French weddings to serve a single set menu rather than offering multiple options, we will absolutely accommodate any allergies or dietary needs to ensure everyone is comfortable and well taken care of.
Yes - the drinks are on us! Since we'll be in the heart of wine country, we'll be serving a selection of wines from local vineyards. For those who prefer something else, we'll also have beer and liquor options available.
There are many charming B&Bs and hotels in the French countryside near Château Sentout. We've shared a few of our favorites in the “Travel” section, but there are plenty of other wonderful options to explore. If you need any help researching or booking accommodations, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we have family in France who are happy to assist with translation/phone calls if needed!
Yes, we’ll be arranging a shuttle for guests staying near Château Sentout. More details to come—stay tuned!
Yes, there is plenty of parking available behind the venue. However, if you plan on drinking, we strongly encourage using ride-share options like Uber or Bolt for everyone’s safety and ease.
Yes! Feel free to leave your car at the venue overnight if needed. You can pick it up the following day anytime.
The French have a more laid back attitude when it comes to family gatherings. They take their time to really enjoy the moment, talk to each other and appreciate quality time together. French suppliers are also in the same dynamic - not pushy and not on a minute by minute time schedule. Personally, that's one of the things we love about the French & why we chose to celebrate our wedding here! Be prepared to have a non-rushed and intentional dining experience with delicious traditional dishes and local wine pairings, followed by dancing until the early hours of the morning (in France it is typical to keep the dance floor open until 3am)! We encourage you to get a good night's sleep the night before so we can soak up this special time with you. :)
If you’re planning to stay in Bordeaux, we’ll have optional activities running from Monday to Friday that you’re welcome to join! For a preview of what’s planned, take a look at the “Schedule” tab.
