Emmie's POV: I first saw Connor Govin in the middle school hallway. All it took was a quick smile from him and I melted on the spot, but I immediately decided he was out of my league. 3 years later at a sleepover with friends, I accidentally sent him a Snapchat which led to lots of teenage screaming - A true existential crisis. The next day I received a response not knowing he would soon become my favorite person in the world and we would get married 10 years later. Existential crisis averted. Connor's POV: I was 15 when I saw the cutest girl in the hallway. I was 16 when I was brave enough to ask for said girl's Snapchat. I was 17 when she accidentally messaged me. And now, I'm 27 marrying my best friend.
Emmie and Connor both come from families filled with so much love. Their last names are a representation of that. To honor the love shared on both sides of the family, Emmie and Connor have decided to carry on both of their names as they are joined in marriage. They will both add Borkowski as a middle and Govin as a last name. Here's to the future Borkowski Govins, the love behind both of these names, and hopefully a new tradition that can be passed down!
Some of Emmie's favorite memories as a child are spending time with her family playing cards, eating dinners together every night, and summer trips to the lake. After Kyle, Emmie, and Arran graduated highschool, Todd and Katie moved to Manitowish Waters, WI to build their dream lake home. Since their move, the Papoose / Rosalind Lake home has been one of Emmie and Connor's favorite places. After 5 years, they have successfully designed and built their new home (on their own!!).
