It all began at DePauw University in August 2018. Julia was out celebrating two friends’ birthdays, and Matt was enjoying a rare weekend off from football. As the party began to wind down, Julia noticed Matt standing across the room with two Coronas in hand. She walked up to him, never having met before, and asked, “Are one of those for me?” -- and the rest was history. After more than six years of long-distance, Matt planned the most perfect proposal over Memorial Day Weekend in Door County, Wisconsin, followed by a surprise celebration with our immediate families. We couldn’t be more excited, blessed, and thankful as we embark on our greatest adventure yet: marriage!
