If your save the date includes a plus-one, then yes — otherwise, no. If someone special joins your life - let us know! We love your love and will do our best to accommodate. Don't be weird, just tell us! Seriously! Kids are welcome at our Welcome Party on Friday evening; & if you have caretakers in town, they're welcome to come by too!
While we love your kids, we're asking that you think of our wedding ceremony and reception as an adults only evening. Your children to not need to see you (or us) dance to 90s and 2000s hip hop. We recognize childcare may be complicated on the island, so please reach out if you're struggling to work through this! We'll help get creative!
We're glad you asked, since we think Maggie made it up. Think: midi or floor-length dresses in bright, happy, celebratory colors, florals, and patterns—have fun! If you have a colorful suit, this is certainly the time to wear it! If not, we're sure you'll look dapper in whatever you've got. Our people are gorgeous. Obviously. We ask that you lean on the side of formal but with your own unique, fun style. Please refrain from wearing, you know—white! We're excited our venue allows for a ceremony and reception in different areas, so we recommend wearing shoes you feel comfortable walking on grass and gravel in, for about 100 yards maximum.
That's the tough thing about a destination wedding: logistics. While many of our guests work or have worked in logistics (shoutout Coyote), in this case, we can’t really help you. We highly recommend extending the weekend and coming in early (Thursday or Friday) to join us for the many events we have planned throughout the weekend! This should help with buffer time. In the event you do miss a ferry, the schedule is available online and there are walk-on spots available, but we recommend setting yourself up to avoid this!
Both the ceremony, reception, and additional weekend events will be held at Saltwater Farms. There is limited parking available, but as always, we encourage guests (especially if you plan to imbibe in adult beverages!) to utilize our provided transportation - which will be updated as we have additional information!
No car needed if you’re staying in Friday Harbor! There’s a local trolley for exploring, and we’ll provide transportation for all wedding events. If you’re staying outside town, a car can be handy — ride shares aren’t available on the island. You can also drive your car onto the ferry with a reserved car spot (see Travel Page for details). If you do wish to rent, check out M&W Auto Rentals. It's about .5 miles from the ferry!
If you know Kevin, you know that we are the most empathetic (or actually sympathetic, in his case) to allergies. Please indicate allergies when your RSVP form is available - we can accommodate whatever is needed.
Hello God—I mean—guests—it’s me, Margaret (any Judy Blume fans?). Confused by the name? Me too. I was born Margaret and have gone by Maggie my whole life, until a manager at my first job (second shoutout to Coyote) decided there were simply too many Maggies on the team (to be fair, there were like four at one point). From that day forward, at least in the workplace, I became Marge. It’s been…an identity adventure. My childhood friends still call me Maggie or Mags, while my adult friends refer to me as Marge. So, for all intents and purposes, feel free to choose your own adventure here. You can even get creative! Over the course of the weekend, you’ll probably hear various guests calling me Big Marge, Margie, Marge in Charge (especially fitting for the wedding weekend), and other fun variations depending on how much liquor has been had.
Obviously!
