What's the dress attire?

Answer

Summer Formal We kindly encourage ladies to wear floor-length gowns, formal dresses, or midi-dresses in the colors of summer - pastels to vibrant colors to fun florals to bold prints, and lush fabrics. We encourage men to wear a well-tailored suit and tie. Light-weight fabrics are encouraged to stay cool and comfortable in the late-summer weather. Please note cocktail hour will be outside on the grass, so please wear comfortable shoes.

Is there transportation to and from the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We will not be providing scheduled guest transportation, however Ubers and Lyft rides are readily available! The Ceremony and Reception at Legare Waring House will be about a 15-minute Uber or Lyft.

What time should I arrive to the wedding?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at Legare Waring House by 5:15 PM. Our ceremony will start promptly at 5:30pm. After 5:30pm, guest will not be permitted to enter the ceremony.

Is there parking at the Venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of on-site parking available at the venue. Please keep in mind, overnight parking is prohibited.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your children, our venue does not have the room for your little ones. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Charleston weather in the mid-September can be a bit unpredictable so we recommend checking the forecasts about a week out. For the most part, expect warmer temperatures with a bit of humidity from the low 80's during the day, and 70's at night. Please dress however you feel comfortable, but also note that our events will take place mainly outside on our wedding day.
