In the Spring of 2015, Adam and Rachel met in class. They were chosen to be lab partners, but it wasn't easy. Adam was arrogant and Rachel was stubborn. It became increasingly hard to work together and several times, Rachel asked for a new lab partner, but got denied each time by the professor. A few classes later, they started to understand a lot about each other and found they had a lot in common. Adam introduced Rachel into the fascinating world of culinary and baking arts and Rachel got Adam invested in fandoms other than Star Wars. The two then became the best of friends and shortly after went on their first date: it went horribly wrong and the two swore never to date again. But call it what you will, destiny had it in for these two: they started dating again in August of 2015.
In May of 2017, after a trip to Florida, unbeknownst to Rachel, Adam came home with a ring. He was so excited to give it to her, but he had to wait for her to come home from work. He ordered Chinese food (her favorite thing on a Friday night) and patiently waited. Rachel was excited for him to come home, but she stopped off after work at the local Sheetz near where they live to change out of her work clothes. She put on a lovely dress and some nice shoes and touched up her makeup! She wanted to look perfect! She came out of the bathroom and was stopped by a lady who whispered, "You're more than he's paying you, honey." Rachel stared at the woman in disbelief! "Oh! Um, I'm not a hooker!" was Rachel's response. The woman then awkwardly laughed as Rachel left the Sheetz. She got home and Adam opened the door before she even knocked. The smell of Chinese food overwhelmed the apartment and he pulled her into the living room. "You know I love you, right?" he asked. 'Oh God,' she thought. 'This is the end. This is how it always happens in the movies....he's dumping me!' He rolled his eyes and pulled a little box out his pocket and opened it. "Marry me?" She stared, again totally baffled. "You're not on one knee." she stated, smiling. "I'm goin'." he used the couch to help him slouch down to one knee on the floor. She was quiet and he just looked up at her. It was probably the most quiet she'd ever been. "Well?!" "Oh," she said, she will still just standing there, smiling. "Yes! Yes, I'll marry you!" And then they ate their Chinese food.
