On a late fall day in Golden, Colorado in 2019, Bonnie took a fortuitous seat on a bar stool next to Kyle. Several Letterkenny references later, the laughing couldn’t be contained, nor could the attraction. About month later, Bonnie visited Kyle where he lived, in Greybull, Wyoming for the first time. After a few days, Bonnie was falling in love with the Bighorn Mountains and Kyle. They spent 2020 trading weeks together in Golden and Greybull as work and time allowed. A majority of their time together was spent doing anything outside: hiking, camping, kayaking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, hunting, or just hanging out in their hammocks. When Bonnie relocated to Greybull in early 2021 their biggest struggle was combining and organizing all of their camping gear. With a shared love for the outdoors, it should come as no surprise that Kyle proposed on August 26th, 2023 when they summited Cloud Peak, the highest peak in the Bighorn Mountains at ~13,600 ft. Kyle likes to joke that Bonnie only said yes because she was oxygen deprived at the high elevation. While Bonnie is even more confident in Kyle’s love for her knowing that he still wanted to propose even after watching her ride the struggle bus all the way up the mountain. Three months later, on November 22, 2023 the two were married in an intimate ceremony at a sentimental location in Greybull.
