Haley and Grant met freshman year of college while she was at Furman Univerisity and he was at Clemson University. He went to visit his friend from high school, Grace, at Furman for the weekend. Grace and Haley lived on the same hall and were great friends. Grant met Haley the first night he was in town; not going to lie... there was chemistry but she thought he was a little too quiet (somehow). They stayed in touch for a few months, eventually fell out of touch, but six years later, they reconnected in Charlotte. They lived and worked one block away from each other for three years and had no idea of their physical proximity! Haley made the first move asking Grant on a date where Grace "chaperoned" for drinks, the chemistry was still there and the rest is history.
The day after Thanksgiving 2021, Grant drove up to Haley's family farm to see her and her family, his car loaded with celebratory items. As he drove the temperature fell to 20 degrees and the predicted rain and snow was was clouding his plan to propose at their favorite meadow on the farm. Since the weather was forcing a location change from outside to in, Grant decorated the Day Lily Hill cabin with rose petals/photos/balloons/ and a roaring fire. Unfortunately for Grant, Haley was uncommonly distractable that day (could something be happening??) and she had to be detoured from discovering the plan several times during the day (mom needed computer support, Lindsey needed to get her nails done...). Miraculously the weather broke just before sunset, so he swooped her up and he took her for a sunset Gator ride to their favorite spot for the proposal where he asked her to marry him ... she said yes! Since Daly Lily Hill was so beautifully decorated he surprised a second time there with memories from their relationship, champagne, and the roaring fire. It was the best day ever for them. The farm is where Haley and Grant really fell in love, grew as a couple, and where she said "yes" to forever! We are so excited to celebrate with you on the Farm this May!
