Attire

The Wedding Website of David Bocarsly and Rachel Bocarsly
Our vision for this weekend is to create a feeling of warmth – by bringing together the love and energy of our friends and family and by dressing for east coast Fall weather. October in the Poconos is typically a high of 60 and a low of 36 degrees with crisp, mountain air in the mornings and evenings. That being said, we had four months of rain in California this year, so our world is a little unpredictable these days. We recommend checking the weather as we get closer, and planning to pack layers for outdoor activities. All accommodations are weatherized and will have both heat and A/C options (in case the weather really throws us a curveball!) We care first and foremost that you are comfortable, so please do whatever you need to make that a reality. If you want a bit more guidance, we’ve included a few recommendations below.

Friday, October 13th: Wedding Ceremony and Dinner

Attire: Fall Floral We both love a good floral print and welcome the openness and color that flowers offer. If you’re unable to find floral attire that also feels weather appropriate, feel free to dress in fall colors (burnt oranges, deep purples, golds, and forest greens) to share in the vibes. See color palette at the top of this page for inspiration.

Women

Women

• Dresses can be any length (floor length, midi, cocktail, or short) with or without sleeves. • Choose fabrics that tend to be a bit warmer (like velvet/velour) or bring a shawl to wear during the outdoor ceremony. • Footwear: we will be walking short distances on camp grounding. Flats, block heels, or wedges are encouraged. See examples here:

Men

Men

• Suits or dress pants with a sports coat are welcome; no need to wear a tux. • Bring in your fall colors and/or florals with your shirt or tie! • Hawaii is a great place, but Hawaiian print isn’t what we’re aiming for here. • David’s suit will be eggplant. See examples here:
