How does the COVID-19 pandemic affect the wedding?

Answer

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and out of an abundance of caution, we've decided to have a private wedding ceremony with our immediate family. However, we don't want to miss celebrating with our favorite people!! Our marriage celebration event has been postponed to October 9th, 2021. We can't wait to spend that special day with all of you!

I have purchased, or would like to purchase a gift from your registry. However, the reception has been postponed due to COVID-19. What should I do?

Answer

We will be getting married in 2020, so if you would like to support us as we begin this new chapter in our lives together, feel free to ship your gift to our home address listed below. How should I dress?

Answer

Business casual should do! Nothing too extravagant. Be cute, but comfortable.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The reception will take place at Virginia Mountain Vineyards. It's a beautiful venue, with incredible views of the Blue Ridge mountains and the vines below. We will be dining, dancing, and fellowshipping under a tent pavilion on a paved patio. The venue is handicap accessible and has full restroom facilities.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The reception will begin at 5pm. Dinner will be severed shortly thereafter.

Will the reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The reception is under a tent pavilion. Just a few steps away and you'll be in the midst of the grape vines of a beautiful vineyard. The tent can be climate controlled in the event of inclement weather.

Are the ceremony and reception handicap accessible?

Answer

Yes! There are sidewalks and ramps leading into the tent pavilion for the reception. There will also be a golf cart service for those unable to make the walk from the parking lot.

Where can I park, and is it free?

Answer

Parking is free. There is parking as you drive into the vineyard. There will be signs pointing you in the right direction, so no need to worry!

Will a meal be served at the reception?

Answer

Yes! A buffet of food will be served at the reception along with wine, beer, and other beverages.

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Anyone included on the RSVP and invitation is welcome to attend the event. If you have a plus one and would like to bring a child, you are welcome to do so, but please only one child per plus one. Keep in mind that alcohol will be served with the meal, and there will be music and dancing following.

Anyone included on the RSVP is welcome to attend. If your invitation or RSVP indicates that you have a plus one, feel free to use it.

How can I access your registry?

Answer

Our registry is available on this very website! Just click on the "registry" tab at the top of this page and follow our recommendations there.

Can I take pictures and/or post photos of your wedding on social media?

Answer

Feel free to take as many photos as you would like throughout the evening. We even have a cute wedding hashtag for your social media use! #BoiTiedKnott However, we ask that you respect our photographer and give her priority in photographing. We also ask that you respect our guests and refrain from posting or taking photos of others without their permission.

Can I help serve in any way?

Answer

We have most of the responsibilities covered, however it would be a great help if you could clean up after yourself and others throughout the evening. We are required to have the venue clean and vacated by 10pm the night of the reception, so any effort you can put into cleaning up would be appreciated tremendously. Likewise, we ask that you respect the venue and its property.
