It all started with our parents trying to play match makers for several years before our first date. Rachel's mom and Jason's dad went to college together at Quinnipiac University. They reconnected at a golf tournament and somehow got on the topic of their kids. They both mentioned that Rachel and Jason were not dating anyone at the time, and they would exchange their phone numbers...and the rest is history!

Rachel and Jason went to Hubbard Park to walk around and see the Christmas light display. Jason told Rachel he wanted to try to take a family picture with Harley while they were there, hinting that she should dress up for the occasion. They were walking around the park looking at the Christmas figures, when they reached the light up camels (Rachel's college mascot). Obviously they had to take a picture in front of them using the self timer. Jason sneakily switched the camera to video mode. When he came back to get in the "picture", he got down on one knee and proposed! Rachel could barley let him finish his sentence before she said "YES!" Of course, Harley was there to supervise the proposal operation.
