Su historia comenzó de una manera sencilla e inesperada. Ella lo vio por primera vez en una foto de Miércoles de Ceniza un pequeño momento que se quedó en su corazón. Después, empezó a verlo tocar el saxofón durante la Adoración los martes con las hermanas (SCTJM). Lo que comenzó como solo verlo, poco a poco se convirtió en un deseo de conocerlo más. Hablaron por primera vez en el cumpleaños de Sister Alexia, y desde ahí sus conversaciones empezaron a crecer. A medida que se acercaban, él entró en un tiempo de discernimiento vocacional. No fue fácil, pero ambos decidieron poner a Dios primero. Con paciencia y respeto, ella le dio su espacio, confiando en el plan de Dios y buscando ser prudente con sus sentimientos. Después de ese tiempo, al confirmar su vocación al matrimonio, él abrió su corazón con más claridad, y su relación empezó a tomar forma. Comenzaron a pasar más tiempo juntos, y con el tiempo, él le pidió que fuera su novia. Al inicio no sabían bien cómo vivir un noviazgo católico, pero querían aprender. A través de la Teología del Cuerpo, preguntas profundas (y a veces comicas), los sacramentos y terapia, crecieron en honestidad, humildad y amor, sanando también partes de su historia personal. Su relación se convirtió no solo en estar juntos, sino en un camino de crecimiento, sanación y aprendizaje para amar de una manera real y centrada en Cristo. Más adelante, él le propuso matrimonio durante el tiempo de las canonizaciones del Beato Carlo Acutis y Pier Giorgio Frassati, en el convento de las hermanas un momento muy especial y significativo para ambos. Desde entonces, se han estado preparando para el matrimonio con oración, formación, retiros, guia espiritual y aprendiendo de otros matrimonios. Hoy ven su relación como un regalo, uno que los llama a amar de una manera centrada en Cristo y a buscar a Dios en todo. She first noticed him in an Ash Wednesday picture just a small moment, but one that stayed with her. Soon after, she would see him playing the saxophone during Adoration on Tuesdays with the sisters (SCTJM). What started as just seeing him around slowly became a desire to know him more. They first really talked at Sister Alexia’s birthday celebration, and from there, their conversations began to grow. As they got closer, he entered a time of discerning his vocation. It wasn’t easy, but they both chose to put God first. With patience and respect, she gave him space, trusting God’s plan and trying to be prudent in her feelings. After confirming that marriage was his vocation, he opened his heart more clearly, and their relationship began to take shape. They started spending more time together, and eventually, he asked her to be his girlfriend. They didn’t really know what a Catholic relationship should look like at first, but they wanted to learn. Through Theology of the Body, deep (and sometimes funny) questions, the sacraments and therapy, they grew in honesty, humility, and love, while also healing parts of their own stories. Their relationship became not just about being together, but about growing, healing, and learning how to love in a real and Christ centered way. He later proposed during the time of the canonizations of Blessed Carlo Acutis and Pier Giorgio Frassati at the sisters’ convent, a moment very special and meaningful to both of them. Since then, they’ve been preparing for marriage through prayer, formation, retreats, spiritual guide, and learning from other marriages. They now see their relationship as a gift, one that calls them to love in a Christ centered way and to seek God in everything. With grateful hearts, they take this step toward marriage, trusting in God and desiring to build a life rooted in faith, hope, and love.
