What comes to mind when we think of an outdoor, Montana summer wedding? We can think of a few things! We don't want to be too prescriptive with a dress code but want our guests to look good and feel good given the setting. Our ceremony & reception will both be held outside in a rustic setting with varying terrain (sometimes uneven) such as hay fields, gravel, dirt, etc. Due to hazards on the property - tripping hazards, farm setting, rattlesnake potential, etc - we do recommend boots or flat soled sandals/shoes. Stilettos are not advised. In August it will likely be sunny and warm (maybe even hot!) just before the ceremony starts and slowly cooling off as the sun sets. We recommend bringing a light layer for the evening. Anything can happen with the weather in Montana (it's why we love it!), but it's best to be prepared. We will communicate any major weather/environmental (smoke) concerns should they exist closer to our wedding. Ladies - dresses! fun jewelry, boots/sandals! If you are stumped - here's a link to some inspo! https://www.theknot.com/content/western-wedding-guest-dresses Gents - button down shirts (patterned or not!), blazers, chinos/pants/dark, summer suits, please no t-shirts or shorts. With whatever you wear - add some personal flare! Bold jewelry, hats, bolo ties, fringe etc are all welcome. Reach out to Kayla if you have any questions!
We are looking forward to celebrating our day with you and want this to be a chance celebrate with our closest friends & family. Therefore, invites are limited to those listed in the RSVP online.
We want our guests to enjoy their time celebrating with us. The venue is rustic and not "kid friendly" (uneven ground, other hazardds, no indoor space) While there will be some kids at/in our wedding, we'd like our guests to take this opportunity to "take the night off" if possible. For numbers sake, please only consider attending with those included on your invitation.
