In operation since 1897, our ceremony location is a historic landmark that houses the largest refracting telescope in the world. Known as the "the birthplace of modern astrophysics", Albert Einstein and Edwin Hubble are among the famous scientists who studied here. Tours are offered to the public every Saturday at 10am, 11am, and 12pm, including on the day of our wedding! Suggested donations are $10 for adults and $8 for children. We highly recommend attending a tour on the morning of our wedding, as the telescope domes will not be open for viewing during our ceremony.
One of the greatest features of Lake Geneva is that the shore all around the lake is open to the public (i.e. it's free!). Originally a footpath used by the Potawatomi Indians, the shore path extends around the lake's 26 mile circumference and offers beautiful views of the lakeside properties. Easy access points for the shoreline are in downtown Fontana, downtown Williams Bay, or downtown Lake Geneva.
This five-day Festival runs from August 15th-19th and takes place at Flat Iron, Library, and Seminary Parks in downtown Lake Geneva. We encourage guests to take advantage of the festival's craft fair, carnival, water ski show, live bands, and of course, the local cuisine (highly recommended: brat stand and beer tent).
Pier 290 is our favorite restaurant in the area. You can sit outside along the water at a table or even eat and drink with your toes in the sand. This restaurant is located in Williams Bay, WI.
Come get a flight of local beer at this laid back tap room. They will also make you a canned pint to-go if you feel like taking some with you!

Explore this 231 acre parcel featuring over 4 miles of trails laid out to show the beautiful serenity of the Prairie. Kathleen and Bobby have enjoyed Kishwauketoe over the years through walks with their Dog and 5k runs with the Cook family.
Next to Fontana Beach, guests can rent kayaks and stand up paddle boards to use on the Lake. We recommend to call ahead or visit the office early in the day as August tends to be the busy season. For information please visit http://www.fontanapaddleco.com/
