There will be about an hour and a half between the end of the ceremony and the start of the reception. There is plenty to do in the 1.8 miles between the church and the venue. Some recommendations include The Dubliner (at the corner of North Capitol St. and F St. NW), Other Half Brewery (across the street from City Winery) and District Made Spirits (distillery down the street from City Winery). Union Market (off New York Ave) is also a great place to grab a drink and bite to eat, with 35 vendors to chose from. The first floor bar at City Winery will also be open, but the reception upstairs will not start until 5:30 p.m.
Yes, City Winery will have a coat check on the first floor. There will also be free-standing coat racks on the second and third floors.
We want everyone to feel healthy and safe throughout the weekend! We ask that everyone take a COVID test before arriving for the celebrations. If you are experiencing symptoms leading up to the event and cannot produce a negative test, we ask that you stay at home for the safety of the other guests.
