YES! Just because it is an all inclusive resort, does not mean that tipping is not HIGHLY appreciated. We recommend bringing $100-$200 in cash extra (in small bills) for tipping at places such as: the pool, at meals, housekeeping, etc.
NO! As of May 11th, 2022 the only requirement is to provide a negative COVID test prior to returning to the U.S. The resort WILL provide the COVID test and will explain how to set it up upon your arrival to the property.
1) Yeti/tumbler cup is a MUST! At any/all bars the waitstaff will take your cup and fill it completely w/ whatever delicious drink you prefer that day! Keeps your drink much cooler than the usual plastic cups that you would get instead! 2) Straw. If you are a straw person, they do NOT use/have straws at the resort. We recommend bringing a metal one if you so choose. The straws and cups are available for purchase at the gift shop, however, be ready to pay big bucks for them! 3) Sunscreen. For obvious reasons...again, available at the gift shop for big bucks! (approx. $15 for small tube). 4) Pool Bag. Just something to keep your cups, straws, sunscreen, money, etc. in while you enjoy yourself at the pools! 5) Tums/Antacids. Just trust us - even if you say "Oh I never get that,".
We ONLY recommend booking excursions through the hotel DIRECTLY. There is a desk set up outside of the gift shop that arranges/guarantees your trip. Although it may be more expensive, it is the safest and most secured way. You will be offered TONS of "discounted" excursions at the airport and on 5th Street (if you choose to go shopping there); again, we do NOT recommend going w/ an outside company due to safety! ***EXCEPTIONS: 1) If you wish to do an off-shore fishing tour, the one website we can HIGHLY recommend is: www.fishingbooker.com We have had nothing but positive reviews for places and the company should anything go wrong! 2) If you are looking for a relaxing massage while on vacation - there is a spa on property, and usually they will offer a promotion of some sort when you check in. However, if all you're looking for is just a plain jane massage, there is a place just outside of the resort that is MUCH cheaper! My mother and Super Trooper can both vouch for that! Also, some days around the pool, spa staff will come out and offer a FREE 5-10 minute massages in hopes to lure you in for a more expensive package.
NO! Dress up as much as you wish, however, it is NOT required at most restaurants! There is a reservation only restaurant on property (that is usually an extra charge) that does require men to wear long pants and close toed shoes (women is resort casual) if you choose to eat there.
Unfortunately, if booking directly through the link provided, I do not believe you will be able to redeem reward points for your stay. If you wish to receive reward points for this stay, you will have to book directly through your Hilton app. While on property there are a few perks/upgrades for being a Hilton member! With that being said, booking directly through your app, you will not receive the option of only putting down the $100 deposit to secure your room. You can still look at the resorts website to determine which type of room you want, then proceed to book through your app!
