What do I need to bring to the wedding reception?

Answer

All guests will go through the Rivers Casino's security and must present a valid photo ID. If guests do not have an ID, they will not be permitted into the reception. Also, please bring some party vibes!

Where can I park for the wedding ceremony?

Answer

All guests are invited to take the shuttle from the Landing Hotel to Sacred Heart Church and back. Guest who drive to the Sacred Heart Church can find street parking or in the Scared Heart School parking lot. Please follow all posted parking signs. Parking tickets are $138 in the City of Pittsburgh--Lexie is speaking from experience.

Where can I park for the wedding reception?

Answer

The reception is at the Rivers Casino which is connected to the Landing Hotel. Hotel guests will have complimentary valet parking. Guests who are not staying in the Landing Hotel can park for free in the parking garages attached to the casino. Valet parking is available for a small fee. Please follow the directional signs for the parking garage or valet parking.

What can I expect at the reception?

Answer

We hope you are ready for a Pittsburgh wedding. The reception will be in the Rivers Ballroom of the Rivers Casino featuring floor to ceiling windows with a view of Mount Washington and the Ohio River as well as an outdoor balcony with a view of the iconic Point State Park. Please come hungry to enjoy the award winning food and beverages from the chef's at the Rivers Casino. Most importantly, there will be a Pittsburgh cookie table under the direction of Christine Elliott. We’re so excited to have Pittsburgh’s own, Arie Cole, bringing the vibes to the reception. As an open format DJ, Arie’s mission is simple: keep the dance floor full and the party going. Whether he’s spinning Hip Hop, RnB, House, or Jazz, Arie knows how to read the room and deliver exactly what’s needed. He’s the resident DJ behind Slappers N Bangers. He’s also played sets for Duolingo, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and the Carnegie Museum of Art and now, he’s playing Bob and Lexie's wedding! At the bride’s request, dancing is not optional so come ready to move!

Are children allowed to attend the wedding?

Answer

Only children who are in the wedding party or have a role during the wedding ceremony are invited to the reception. Thank you for the understanding bride's and groom's wishes.

Can I bring a plus one to the reception?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with our favorite people! If you have a plus one, it will be indicated on your invitation. We kindly ask that you only bring a guest if your invitation includes one. Thank you for respecting the wishes of bride and groom.

The Rivers Casino is a pretty big place. Where can I find the Rivers Ballroom?

Answer

The Rivers Ballroom is located on the second floor of the Rivers Casino. Guests can access the second floor by taking the elevator or escalator next to the Drum Bar. The Drum Bar is by the front entrance with glass doors near the valet parking drop-off. If coming from the parking garage, please walk to the front entrance of the casino by walking through the casino and the Drum Bar will be towards the right of the front entrance. On the second floor, guest should immediately see signage for the cocktail hour.

Will there be smoking at the reception?

Answer

The second floor of the Rivers Casino where the reception is located is nonsmoking inside. During the bride's and groom's site visit to the Casino, the second floor did not smell like smoke. Smoking is permitted on the first floor of the casino or on the outside balcony off of the ballroom.

Will there be a receiving line at the church?

Answer

The bride and groom will not be having a formal receiving line, but they look forward to greeting each of you personally at the reception!
