Philadelphia has a plethora of historical, arts, and cultural offerings. Check out the Visitors Center for more info. Of course, there are the historical sites that you are probably familiar with. The Philadelphia Art Musuem is open for free on Sunday mornings and is rated one of the best museums in the country (after New York, of course). The Kimmel Center is considered a premier space because of its amazing acoustics. There are many theatres, music venues, comedy and more. We can give you some recommendations for sight seeing, entertainment and eating in town. Just send us an email if interested.
Great shopping and wonderfully quaint town. See the Community Association website
This intimate restaurant is owned by my cousins Kathlyn and John Egan. The food is always high quality both tavern fare and high-end menu choices. You will love the ambiance and the great food.
Wonderful spot for casual french breakfast and lunch. There is often a line but it goes quickly. If the weather cooperates, there are outside tables.
We love this restaurant. It is a high-end BYOB. You will definitely need a reservation in advance. Two weeks may be enough depending on the night.
Wonderful Farm to table restaurant in North Wales. About a 20-minute ride from Flourtown and 25 minutes from Plymouth meeting. Reservations are a must.
This BYOB is next door to our home. Good Italian food. A liquor store is nearby on Chemical Road shopping center as well as in Flourtown and Ambler. You can get Wine and beer in some local grocery stores such as Lafayette Market, Acme.
Reasonably priced and delicious Italian meals and Pizza with a lively atmosphere and friendly service. Reservations are needed on weekends.
Beautiful fall foliage for a walk or bike ride. Entrances on Wissahickon Avenue near Chestnut Hill College. I do not recommend entering on Valley Green Road because there have been multiple thefts from cars. Do not walk at night in the park!
If you are a Lego fan, this is the place. Of course, there are lots of children here.
