Our ceremony will take place on the sandbar on Lake Manchaug in Douglas, Massachusetts, a place that holds so many special memories for us.
Guests will be transported to the sandbar by boat. More details on timing, parking, and boat assignments will be shared closer to the date.
This will be a very casual lakeside ceremony. Guests will remain on their assigned boats during the ceremony, so no formal seating will be set up on the sandbar itself.
Think “lake wedding” casual and comfortable. We recommend shoes that can handle docks, boats, and sand. September evenings on the lake can cool down a bit, so bringing a light sweater or jacket is never a bad idea.
We’re keeping this year’s celebration intentionally intimate with a small lakeside ceremony and dinner following with immediate family and close friends. Once our future home on the lake is complete, we look forward to celebrating with all of you then/there as well.
Due to the unique nature of the ceremony and limited boat space, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation.
As true lake people, we’re keeping a close eye on the weather and will communicate any changes if needed. We have backup plans in place; although we are definitely hoping for sunshine and a perfect sunset.
Yes, completely outdoors and on the water.
The lake has been part of every chapter of our story: where we met, fell in love, became a family, and where we’re building our future home together. We knew we wanted to officially become the Letourneau family before Lacie starts school, and having an intimate ceremony on the sandbar felt perfectly “us.”
Your presence is truly the best gift we could ask for. As we continue building our home and life together, we’re simply grateful to celebrate this chapter with the people we love most.
In the beginning, this was a very competitive debate. Jen may have started out loyal to Lake Nipmuc… but after enough sunsets, sandbar days, fireworks, and years spent building our life together on Lake Manchaug, she officially admits Lee was right. (Don't get used to it Lee :P) Manchaug wins.
