Our story begins in September of 2005. Caitlin Nina Mora had just started her freshman year of high school, while Joshua Adam Maisonette was beginning his sophomore year at Maine East High School in Park Ridge, Illinois. Caitlin remembers seeing Joshua around the hallways at school, and thinking he was the most handsome boy she had ever seen. Little did she know, Joshua also had his eyes on her and would make his introduction to her that very same month. Joshua remembers standing in the cafeteria talking to a couple of friends, and seeing Caitlin come into the same row of tables to speak to someone. Then he quickly asked his friend if he knew who she was. He told Joshua, “That’s Caitlin,” to which Joshua replied, “Introduce me.” Joshua still remembers exactly what Caitlin was wearing that day, down to the detail of how her hair was styled. They made it official on October 7, 2005. During this time, they discovered that when put together their last names created the cutest little phrase once translated from their ancestral languages: “Blueberry Cottage.” Being so young the two decided to part ways but remained close friends. From then on, the two have been in and out of each other’s lives throughout the years almost by accident, but at the same time on purpose. The last time they reconnected, on August 12, 2022, Caitlin was at Independence Grove in Libertyville with mutual friend, and best man, Heylim Ariza, walking to the lake for a day of kayaking when Joshua called him. Joshua inquired on what Heylim was doing, and when Joshua found out he was with Caitlin he got so excited. Caitlin invited Joshua to come to a belated birthday dinner that night at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in Schaumburg, accompanied by Heylim and her friend, Elizabeth Polley. Following dinner, Caitlin and Joshua decided to go off on their own and see The Black Phone at The Streets of Woodfield. After the movie, they went to the Log Cabin Bar in Des Plaines, which had been a favorite hangout for them in their early twenties. It was then that they decided they never wanted to be apart again and continued to talk to each other every day since they had reconnected. Their next date was on August 24, 2022, at Maxon Shooter’s Supplies & Indoor Range. It was there that Joshua taught Caitlin how to shoot a gun for the first time. On September 1, 2022, Joshua finally asked Caitlin to be his official girlfriend, for the two truly believed they were fated for each other. They spent the next few nights together, sharing their dreams, visions and hopes for the future. On September 10, 2023, after recreating their date at Maxon Shooter’s Supplies & Indoor Range, Joshua proposed to Caitlin on a bridge above the lake at Independence Grove in Libertyville, while onlookers clapped and offered congratulations along land and water. To commemorate the fateful day of their final reconnection, Caitlin and Joshua will be married on August 12, 2025, at Glacier National Park (GNP) in West Glacier, Montana. The future newlyweds wish that all their guests would be allowed to attend their wedding ceremony. But unfortunately, GNP only permits a limited number of guests. However, the future Mr. & Mrs. wish to bring the magic of the mountains to you, while celebrating their union with a night of dinner, dancing and drinks at their wedding reception party on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Highland Park Community House in Highland Park, Illinois. They look forward to celebrating with you!
