The higher elevation in Estes Park often causes visitors to experience altitude sickness. Symptoms include: headache, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, dizziness, & shortness of breath - Give yourself a day or two to adjust to the altitude change - arrive a day or two early if you can! - Drink LOTS of water - Alcohol will hit you MUCH harder at this elevation so be sure to pace yourself! - Eating carbs will help with absorbing the alcohol & oxygen as well! - Go easy with strenuous activity - Portable oxygen is great to have & use as needed - you can't bring this with you on an airplane but can find it in pharmacies or at Walmart - Get lots of rest
Please RSVP by 4/26/24! Final counts need to be sent to the venue & the caterer so we will not be able to accept RSVPs after this date.
The ceremony & reception will both be indoors, but floor to ceiling windows & accordion doors will be open to allow for an unobstructed views of the mountains & landscape - all doors & windows will close at 9pm to comply with Estes Park noise ordinance. A patio will be open for cocktail hour & fire pits will be lit later in the evening (weather permitting). The air cools down significantly in the mountains after dark so bring layers for the evening. At this time of year, the temperature will reach into the 70s during the day and can drop into 40s at night.
While we love your little ones, in order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation, we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adults-only occasion.
Women - cocktail dresses (midi, tea, or ankle length), dressy jumpsuits, etc. Feel free to wear any colors or prints you want, but please no white, ivory, or cream! Men - suits and/or slacks with jacket and tie. No jeans, please! We’d love to see you dress up with us but also want you to be comfortable. The ceremony will begin at 3:30 so please arrive no later than 3:20. We kindly ask that you do not arrive before 2:45pm to allow for the bridal party to complete photos and allow the venue/vendors to ensure the ceremony site is fully set up before guests arrive!
