Arches National Park is normally open year-round, 24 hours a day. To avoid traffic, we recommend entering the park before 8 am or after 3 pm. You will need to make a reservation to enter the park and you can make a reservation using the link we provided. There is a $2 reservation processing fee. If you are military, then you can receive a National Park Pass for free. This will allow you to enter any national park in the U.S. for free. If you would like to purchase a National Park Pass for all U.S. National Parks, then it is $80 for the whole year. Otherwise, to enter the Arches National Park, it is $30 per vehicle or $15 per person if you are walking in. We recommend having a vehicle when touring the Arches park because the distance between sites is quite long and most people will drive between sites and then get out and participate in the sites or hikes.
The Dead Horse State Park is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM year-round. Sunrises and sunsets are especially memorable at Dead Horse Point. For anyone wondering, this is where we took our engagement photos and the views are breathtaking. If you choose to go at night, you will be able to experience the sight of thousands of stars in the skies because the skies in this spot are particularly dark. Going just before dusk or even at sunrise is a beautiful time to go as well. You can even rent mountain bikes to tour the park and you can do that using the link we provided. It is $20 per vehicle to enter Dead Horse Point or $10 per person if you are walking or riding a bike into the park. Utah residents over the age of 65 will be able to enter the park for $15 in a vehicle.
