The Invisible String Theory is typically used to describe the idea that your soulmate is always present in your life’s path, even when you haven’t met them yet. Time, distance, and geography will not break this invisible string. The key to this theory is the belief that the relationship is not purely determined by choice, but by fate. That’s us. Tyler is originally from Utah and when he was 7 years old, he moved to California – where I am originally from. For the next 7 years, we were separated by several cities, however, the distance became shorter when Tyler moved to Roseville, just a few blocks away from me. We waited at the same bus stop, rode the same bus to the same school, took some of the same classes, and passed each other several times in the halls of Oakmont High School. However, that is not where our story begins. It wasn’t until I was finishing up my freshman year in college when I received a social media friend request from Tyler. After several days of getting to know one another, we found out three things: 1. While I was sitting on the bus, Tyler was a few seats behind me. 2. When Tyler was walking out of Mr. Helton’s chemistry class, I was walking in. 3. Tyler’s younger brother, Caden, and my younger sister, Mikaela, were good friends. In fact, I had known Caden for years. On June 25, 2017, Tyler asked me to be his girlfriend. A year and a half later, Tyler packed up and moved to Reno to be with me while I finished up college. In October of 2020, we decided Utah is where we need to be. On May 22, 2024, in the living room of our soon-to-be brand-new house, Tyler got down on one knee and asked me to be with him forever. And it was the easiest yes. We believe in fate. Our story officially began on June 25th and so it’s only fitting that we are getting married in June of ’25. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!
