Our story started at West Virginia University 6 years ago. A month into freshman year, Alexander saw me (Madeline) in the dining hall on Evensdale campus. He was determined to say something to me but had to get seconds first, classic Alexander ; ). When he came back I was gone. But God wasn't satisfied with that outcome. That same evening we had a meeting for an adventure class we had both taken that summer at different times. I sat in the middle row, and Alexander sat down right behind me. Me being totally oblivious as usual ; ) had no idea what was going to happen. At the end of the meeting Alexander made sure he stood in my path so there was no chance of me escaping again. He finally asked me for my number (despite the tough competition that had been talking with me the entire meeting). I said yes of course, (because he is so tall and handsome!) but chickened out on our first date. He finally roped me in though and hasn't lost me since, despite all of his and my efforts ; ). It's been a long road since that first day 6 years ago but we have both learned so much since then and grown closer through it all and closer with God. We are so excited to have each and everyone of you celebrate this day with us as we finally make our covenant to each other!
