It was December 2015. Courteney was on the brink of despair, about ready to move back to Michigan, when she started attending a new church in Mount Juliet, TN. One fateful Wednesday night that December, she attended the young adult bible study and that is where she and Blake were first introduced. It took several months, but eventually Blake decided to ask Courteney out. They officially became a couple on July 25th 2016, and have been together for over 5 years now.

On July 25th 2020, 4 years after they officially started dating, Blake took Courteney out for dinner at one of their favorite restaurants. On the way home, they stopped at the church they met at, The Church at Pleasant Grove Mount Juliet. Blake had Courteney read a love letter he had written her and written on the back were the words "Will You Marry Me". Courteney turned around to see Blake on his knee with the ring in his hand. Bursting into tears, Courteney said yes. And the rest, as we know, is history.
