Think wedding festival meets mountain retreat...cabins, glamping domes, starry skies, and campfire hangs. The accommodation is an off-grid resort surrounded by peaks, forests, and meadows. Instead of “show up, say vows, leave,” we’ll all be together for the weekend onsite at the ranch.
** THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT** Everyone will stay on-site, unless we've communicated something different directly to you. We’ve rented the entire ranch from Friday to Sunday, including cabins, glamping domes, tipis, yurts, RV sites, and campsites. (Take a look at what to expect here: https://www.arapahovalleyranch.com/accommodations ) How will this work? Step 1 - You RSVP: When you RSVP to our wedding, you're also RSVPing to stay at Arapahoe Valley Ranch for the weekend. RSVP responses will be due back early because of this process! RSVPs are due April 1st. Step 2 - Accommodation Assignments: We’ll assign everyone to accommodations that best fit their group. Close family will have cabin priority. There are limited number of spots at AVR. Some people might need to camp or stay offsite, which will be communicated. Step 3 - Booking link sent to you: The venue will send you a booking link to confirm and pay for your stay by May 1st. If you’d like to arrive early/stay late please reach out to us and we'll help coordinate with the venue! If you have any questions about this, please call us ASAP!
This will be finalized when your accommodation is assigned, but expect roughly $200-$300 per person. This includes 2 nights of accommodation, 2 light breakfasts, and Saturday lunch (and we're of course hosting you for the welcome dinner and the wedding dinner!)
We are making exceptions in very rare cases. Please only expect an exception if you have received an exception with your invite. Please call us ASAP with any questions or concerns.
Cabins: Private bathrooms and showers. Glamping tents, tipis, yurts, RVs, and campsites: Shared bathrooms and showers. They are nice, updated, and will be cleaned daily, but please consider your timing needs to get ready for the wedding :)
There is no air conditioning here (or in most mountain towns). It will be plenty cool at night.
It depends! The lodge and cabins have electricity and heat. The yurts have electricity. The glamping tents do not have electricity, but they will have a powerbank to charge smaller devices. Any location without heat will receive a bundle of firewood each evening (the glamping tents/yurts have a fire-burning stove for heat). Please see the accommodation link for more detail on what each accommodation includes: https://www.arapahovalleyranch.com/accommodations
Please consider: - LAYERS. It will be cold at night and hot during the day (low of 48 and high of 77 degrees are the average temps for August 1st in Granby) - Reusable water bottle (stay hydrated at altitude!!!) - Headlight and/or flashlight. It will be dark at night - Shoes that work at a campground (boots, sneakers, flats, block heels, etc) - Swimsuits for swimming/wading/canoeing/stand up paddleboarding - Activewear for yoga, hikes, or exploring - Colorado fishing license if you plan to fish in the South Fork - Snacks and drinks for in between events. Town is about 30-40 minutes driving away. There is a small convenience store on-site, but it is pretty minimal. - Ice: for those glamping or in yurts, a small cooler is provided. You can bring ice or buy ice from the small convenience store on-site. - Toiletries: Do your best to pack what you need, as limited options are available at the on-site store! You don't need to bring cooking gear. Glamping tents and yurts include a camp kitchen with plates, bowls, silverware, a frying pan, mugs, utensils, a French press, a kettle, and a cooler. Also comes with a camp stove and grill for your cooking convenience. ENERGY AND FUN! :)
By invitation only.
Cell service is minimal. The best service seems to be Verizon. WiFi is available in the main lodge if needed.
There is plenty of parking for all guests.
You’re in the mountains, so we’ll be sharing the land with wildlife 🦌🐿️🐻. Please: Keep trash in provided bins (must be away at night) Only use designated fire pits Follow any local fire bans (we'll check and update you the week of) No fireworks, ever Please note: Wood stoves are not permitted for use in the glamping tents during a Stage 2 fire ban
Average highs are around 77, and average lows are around 48. The altitude is around 8,300 feet, so even though it is hot in Granby in August, it is still mild and cold at night. Afternoon storms are common. Expect it to be sunny and feel hotter than it is.
We know this is a little different, and we can't wait for a weekend to slow down, connect, and celebrate in a way that is true to us. Contact us with any questions! Thank you for celebrating with us!! ❤️
