If you are joining our bus tour on Friday 7/15, then your ticket is included! Otherwise, see the website for their selection of guided tours. If you aren't on the bus but want to join us to see the pretty places where Jurassic Park and Lost were filmed, select the Hollywood Movie Site Tour, 7/15 @ 10:40am, list “Adam Blair Wedding Party” in the comments.
We are booking this tour for ourselves on Saturday 7/16. They do not offer group rates, so we are not coordinating this tour for guests. Everyone can simply book for their own party. This will sell out very soon, so do not wait if you are interested. Itinerary: Pickup in Waikiki (select the 7:30am pick-up option if you want to stick together!) Tour of USS Arizona Memorial (short film + boat shuttle to memorial) Tour of USS Missouri Battleship Driving tour of Honolulu on the way back + history of Hawaii from monarchy to present day Cost: $103/adult, $81/child, $0/lap child (+taxes/fees). Includes transportation, guide, entrance fees, and reserved tickets. Does not include lunch.
Paradise Cove is the best-rated luau we could find, with plenty of food options, activities, and waterside views! The middle-tiered seating ("Orchid") costs $150/person (crazy, we know!), and comes with a pre-loaded drink card and some other goodies. It is located in Ko Olina, a 45-minute drive from Waikiki. For an added $35/person, they provide round-trip transportation from any Waikiki hotel. We are planning to attend on Saturday 7/16. If you'd like to sit together, select the middle "Orchid" tier and under ADDITIONAL INFORMATION for Order Notes, write "Please seat with the Goh-Blair Wedding Party"!
Our plan is to purchase a ticket for the Waikiki Hop-on/hop-off Trolley for Sunday 7/17 and take the Blue Line to Diamond Head for the infamous volcano hike. If you're taking the trolley, first pickup is from Ilikai Hotel @ 8:20am. IMPORTANT: The Diamond Head Hike now requires reservations beforehand. Reservations open 2 weeks before the requested date; if you're planning to hike with us, that means you should reserve your spot this Sunday, 7/3, to enter between 9–10am on 7/17. Then, on to lunch and Diamond Head Park or Hanauma Bay or Waimanalo Beach. This will be a more laidback and casual day.
Come join us in a submarine! As they put it: “Climb aboard Atlantis XIV, the world's largest hi-tech passenger submarine… The dive site is home to many Hawaiian fishes, coral, and turtles. Known for its quality and safety, Atlantis is an eye-opening experience that takes you beyond the classroom as you learn about coral, reef life and submersibles while visiting our sunken shipwrecks, airplane and other artificial reefs. Atlantis has a spacious air-conditioned interior, large view ports and comfortable seating… The submarine portion will be 45-50 minutes long, and the total duration will be one hour and 30 minutes (incl. shuttle boat).” We will be signing up for the 1pm voyage (check-in at 12:30pm) on Monday 7/18. Check-in is right across from the DoubleTree Waikiki, so no transportation required. It’s pricey at $143/person — but it’s a SUBMARINE!
