Travel

Airport and hotel listings are provided below. There is no reserved hotel block, as most hotels in New York do not hold rooms in such a way, and accommodations may be different based on how you choose to spend your time outside of wedding activities. No hotel is recommended above another.

Flight

LGA and JFK are recommended

New York City has 3 major airports - La Guardia, John F. Kennedy, and Newark. Taxis are the easiest way to travel to Brooklyn or Manhattan. Taxi lines are present at all three airports and have a constant flow of cars waiting. Uber is available and picks up in designated Passenger Pickup areas separated by letter and number in the app. However, this can be chaotic as there are no lines, dozens of people looking for their rides in each area, and many cars of the exact same make/model. More info can be found on taxi fares here: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/tlc/passengers/taxi-fare.page La Guardia is the closest and shortest trip to both Brooklyn and Manhattan. John F. Kennedy is further away, but has easier public transportation options. The JFK AirTrain will take passengers to the A Subway Line. Travel 12 stops to the Jay St. - MetroTech Station, which is 4 blocks from most Downtown Brooklyn Hotels. Newark is in New Jersey, and not recommended if you are staying in Brooklyn.
