Where is the wedding taking place?

Our ceremony and reception will be held at our family's private property in Ely, IA. The exact address will be shared on your invitation and/or via email closer to the date. It’s a special place to us, and we’re so excited to celebrate there with you!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive 45 minutes before the ceremony to allow time to park, be driven to the ceremony site, and get settled with family and friends. The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 pm.

What’s the parking situation?

Answer

There will be on-site parking available in a field just before a large shed, with signs and markings to help direct you. If you're carpooling or using a ride share, please get dropped off at the parking site.

Is there transportation provided?

Answer

There will not be a shuttle service; we suggest carpooling or scheduling a ride ahead of time. Please plan a safe journey to and from the celebration!

What should I wear?

Answer

Think cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, or nice separates for women; dress shirts and slacks for men. The ceremony and reception will be outdoors on grass, so we recommend block heels, wedges, or flats to keep things comfy and stable.

Is the ceremony and reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both will be held outdoors, so please dress accordingly and bring a layer for the evening — we'll provide plenty of cozy vibes (and maybe a few blankets).

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Only a few children close to the couple will be invited, and their names will be listed on your RSVP. I appreciate your understanding as they celebrate with an intimate gathering.

What happens if it rains?

We have a backup plan, just in case! Rain or shine, we’re ready to celebrate — and we promise it’ll be beautiful either way.

Will there be restrooms?

Answer

Yes! We'll have clean, private restroom trailers on-site for your comfort.
