We met in December 2019, as neighbors living right across the hall from each other at 196 Stockholm Street in Brooklyn. We became fast friends, and that friendship accelerated even faster as we shared a backyard through the height of the pandemic. After a summer's worth of mutual longing, finally, on Halloween 2020, if you were at the party at 196 Stockholm you might have caught Steve Zissou and Margot Tenenbaum making out... One take, and we were rapt. ;) Since then we've shared everything together, from mountain top views to mountains of dirty dishes. We've shared and introduced one another to our wonderful families in Austin, Texas and and Southern California. We shared the words "I love you" in a tiny cabin in Accord, New York. We've shared camping tents in Maine, shared driving shifts along the coast of Spain, and now share an apartment together in Greenpoint with our French cat and Resident Stinker, Allen. Last summer we shared the decision to spend the rest of our lives together when we got engaged in a photo booth in the back of a dive bar we love.
