Things To Do

Belle Isle

Detroit, MI

Belle Isle Park is a 2.5-mile-long, 982-acre island park, located in the international waters of the Detroit River. Affectionately named the “Jewel of Detroit”, the park features a number of historic public landmarks including the Belle Isle Aquarium, Belle Isle Casino, Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory, Dossin Great Lakes Museum, and the James Scott Memorial Fountain. Recommend taking a stroll here if you can!

Book Tower

1265 Washington Boulevard, Detroit, MI 48226

Newly renovated Rooftop Bar and restaurant downtown! Book Tower's vibrant dining scene includes restaurants for all palates. Le Suprême brings a taste of French fare to Washington Boulevard while Kamper's offers a unique rooftop bar experience with a Spanish-influenced tapas menu and Bar Rotunda serves thoughtfully curated beverages and baked goods throughout the day. Distinguished by traditional Japanese flavors, design and décor, HIROKI-SAN and Sakazuki enhance the growing downtown culinary options, making the perfect addition to any night out in Detroit. Click the link below ('View') to make reservations.

The Monarch Club

33 John R Street, Detroit, MI 48226

Rooftop cocktail bar overlooking downtown located on the roof of the Element Hotel (next to the Opera House). Great food and cocktails! Recommend reserving a table on their website if possible.

The Brakeman

22 John R Street, Detroit, MI 48226

More casual American Beer Hall that also serves food, cocktails, and local beer. There's lot's of TVs for watching sports, so it is of course one of our favorite bars downtown to enjoy any time of the day or night!

Harry's Detroit Bar & Grill

2482 Clifford Street, Detroit, MI 48201

We are family friends with the owners of this centrally located restaurant downtown. This is one of our favorite spots for watching sports or for great food or drinks. Highly recommend if you're looking for something more casual for food/drinks on Friday night or for a great brunch on Sunday!

Tin Roof Detroit

47 East Adams Avenue, Detroit, MI 48226

If you're looking to have a fun time, look no further! A popular indoor/outdoor bar with a great view overlooking downtown with live music. Recommend for food and drinks on Friday or a good option for the "after party" on Saturday night.

The Apparatus Room

250 West Larned Street, Detroit, MI 48226

Great restaurant for dinner or brunch. Recommend booking a reservation in advance if possible but it's a large space with lots of booth and bar seating options.

Candy Bar

1509 Broadway Street, Detroit, MI 48226

Really unique spot for cocktails downtown located in the Siren Hotel. Highly recommend reserving a table in advance.

Eastern Market

Detroit, MI

The Sunday Market is not your traditional farmers' market. This street market seeks to showcase the work of local artists, cooks, jewellers, musicians, and more. This market is the perfect chance to discover items that are uniquely Detroit and Michigan made. Every Saturday & Sunday 10 AM – 4 PM. Shed 2, 3 & 4 with events in Shed 5. Brunch at Vivio's, a family-owned favorite of the Young's with the best bloody mary's.

Campus Martius Park

800 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI 48226

Located in the heart of downtown, Campus Martius Park is Detroit’s official gathering place and award-winning signature public space. The 2.5-acre park is a year-round outdoor venue with gardens, performance stages and food trucks. Stop in for a drink or food at Parc restaurant!
