Do you have a gift registry?

What should I wear on Saturday? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, please wear Country Club appropriate cocktail attire (think elevated/upscale cocktail attire, erring on the more formal side). Per Park Country Club, any guest violating the dress code will be refused entry. Denim and t-shirts are not permitted. Cocktail or formal dresses, dressy jumpsuits, and jackets with dress shirts & slacks are all appropriate options. If you have questions, feel free to reach out!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope this advance notice means you’re able to let your hair down to celebrate with us!

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with our nearest and dearest, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited. Therefore, we regretfully ask that our guests please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation.

Is there accessible parking?

Answer

Yes, parking is available right at the venue.

Will transportation be provided between the hotels and venue?

Answer

All recommended hotels are less than 3 miles from Park Country Club, so we hope it's easy for you to drive or grab an Uber/Lyft to the wedding (5-10 minute ride). We will be providing a shuttle from Park to the after-party, however! The shuttle can also make stops at our recommended hotels in Williamsville, if you prefer to head straight back.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, our wedding will be open bar from cocktail hour to close (6-11pm). You're welcome! Please drink responsibly. P.S. The after-party will be cash bar.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

Cocktail hour will include both standing and passed hors d'oeuvres, and we will have a number of different food stations (with a wide variety of options to accommodate preferences/restrictions) so that you can eat as you please throughout the night!

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! There will be a wide variety of ample food options that will be visibly labeled to ensure all of our guests stay safe and don't go hungry.

What's the best way to RSVP and when is the deadline?

Answer

Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before May 4th, 2024! Please mail back the card that will be enclosed in your invitation upon receiving it.

Are there any other wedding events to attend?

Answer

Yes! All of our guests are invited to join us for a kickoff party on the evening before our wedding (6/7). Additionally, we will keep the wedding celebration going with an after-party following the reception on 6/8! Please see the Schedule page for more details.

What should I wear on Friday to the kickoff party?

Answer

Friday's event takes place at Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, a downtown Buffalo brewery & restaurant in one of their private rooms (see the Schedule page for details!). It's a popular spot for events, including weddings. The dress code is "dressy casual" - you can think about what you might wear to a nice dinner out. Please no shorts, t-shirts or flip flops (but dark, unripped jeans dressed up would be an appropriate option). There are dress code notes on the schedule page and here in the FAQs, but feel free to reach out to April if you need more guidance or have specific questions!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Great question! While we wish we could predict the future and control the weather, sadly we cannot. Early June in Buffalo can vary, but generally lands somewhere between 60°F to 80°F. Keep your fingers crossed for us! Please check the weather before you come, when it's a lot easier to predict. Duh.

Is Williamsville different from Buffalo?

Answer

Williamsville is a suburb of Buffalo, where we live (actually right next door to our wedding venue!). It's also where Jamie grew up, and home to a number of restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques. We love it! Williamsville is a short drive from downtown Buffalo (approx. 14 miles, 15-20 minutes). The historic village of Williamsville is centered on Main Street and lies on the city's northeastern edge. We encourage you to explore Williamsville (where our reception, after-party & all suggested hotels will be) AND downtown Buffalo (where our kickoff party will be) while you're here. Our "Things to Do" section includes our favorites for both areas!
