I could never have guessed that all those years ago, when this beautiful, effervescent woman walked into Thomas Guy Club (the doctor’s bar at King’s College London) and lit up the room, that we would later be planning our Floridian wedding amongst all our wonderful friends and family. Through the end of medical school, during a pandemic and lockdown and beyond, Brittany has always been by my side, a powerful force and loving refuge from life’s daily struggles. We have shared amazing memories together while exploring our favourite parts of London, as well as new places around the world. Whether raving at music festivals or settling on the sofa with a book, we are always by each other’s side and try and be each other’s sense of home and love. A love for life’s multitude of experiences and each other has kept every day, week and month feeling fresh and exciting and our love and respect for each other has only grown deeper over the past four years. We are so excited to begin a new chapter as a married couple and share this day, celebrate moments past, and look forward to those to come with our closest family and friends. Bring on 2024!

On the last day of a trip to visit my family in New Jersey, we decided to go for one last hike to close out the holiday. On our way there, we decided to stop at the beautiful Cross Estate Gardens to check out the summer flowers. On the way out, Nathan asked Zack to "take a quick picture of us before we go." I was just about ready to leave, then I looked over and he was down on one knee. I borderline blacked out at this point, but APPARENTLY I cried, laughed, shouted "YES," and we were engaged. I was so overwhelmed that I later asked if he got down on one knee (he had). We drank champagne with my family out of glasses my parents had used to toast at their own wedding, ate clam linguine on the porch, and it was perfect. It's hard to put into words how I feel about Nathan, but I can say that spending the rest of my life with him feels like coming home. We are best friends, each other's biggest fans, and true life partners. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Florida!
