Things To Do

Scarborough

Scarborough, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago

The venue and suggested hotels are within 5 minutes of Downtown Scarborough, the capitol of Tobago. Feel free to explore the beautiful island and all it has to offer. See nearby recommendations below.

Tobago Museum

Scarborough, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago

This museum contains many artifacts of the island's history, both from centuries past and from modern times.

Scarborough Botanical Garden

Gardenside Street, Scarborough, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago

Just seven hectares (17 acres) in size, the Botanical Gardens in Scarborough pack a tropical punch. They were founded in the 19th century on a former sugar plantation, with views of the town and bay. Visitors will see orchids and bromeliads, royal poinciana and silk-cotton trees, a huge saman tree with spreading branches and an allée of stately palms. Keep an eye out for the island’s colorful blue-crowned motmot bird flitting about the grounds.

Fort King George

84 Fort Street, Scarborough, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago

A sprawling 18th century fort overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Fort King George is one of Tobago’s most well-preserved historical sites. It features carefully restored remnants, including the officers’ barracks, gunpowder magazine, prison cells and a bell tank. The fort’s original cannons are positioned just as they were hundreds of years ago. The well-manicured grounds are a popular location for weddings, photo shoots and family picnics.
